If spots are redistributed, how would it be done? Would Russian spots earned at worlds be distributed according to worlds results or according to Nebelhorn ones? If according to worlds, then there would probably be a second redistribution of spots earned at Nebelhorn that weren't needed/allowed because those countries now had spots earned at worlds.

It looks like a redistribution isn't going to happen, which is a good thing, because the prospect makes my head ache.

I would imagine it will go by the Alternate lists. Skaters who did not qualify one of the remaining quota spots (6 in mens and women's, 5 (4+1) in Pairs and 5 in Ice Dance) at Nebelhorn are put on the alternate list in order of where they placed.

Imagine the outcry over the second US pairs spot if that were to happen. Other than that, it probably wouldn't make a big difference. Countries who "just missed out" at worlds in most cases either qualified at Nebelhorn or are on the (Nebelhorn-based) alternate list.

The ISU press release from a few hours ago included the team qualification results.

(BTW, it says the point total for France is 3652.)

USA (5055 points)
Japan (4345 points)
China (4231 points)
Italy (3801 points)
France (3652 points)
Germany (2806 points)
Spain (1858) but is not eligible as Spain qualified entries only in two disciplines for the Olympic Games
Israel (1521 points)

I have a question regarding the Google doc final standings. What does A-3 and A-6 mean? Just want to interpret it correctly. Thanks!

No worries. It's a good question considering the reallocation of quota spots is scheduled to occur next week.

They are the alternates list- the number indicating which number alternate they are
A-1 = First alternate
A-2 = Second alternate etc.

Makes sense. Thanks! One more question. What does 1 H* mean?

Posted this on FSU but it's also relative here:

The interesting conundrum will be Spain. If Russia doesn't compete (even as OAR) and their spots are reallocated, Spain is 2nd/3rd alternate in Pairs (2nd assuming Japan officially takes NK's spot). If they get that spot, they'd technically have the 3 required disciplines. The issue is that Team Event teams were to be officially informed by December 10th, to respond within 24 hours of notification to accept the spot. Alternates (for Team and Individual spots) will be informed from December 13th-21st, again to be confirmed within 24 hours by the NOC. If Spain ends up getting the Pairs spot off the alternates list, they'd become eligible for the Team Event, which means Australia still wouldn't get in.
