There are still no links or list of participants, but I will include more information when it's published. Since Javier Fernandez is almost retired from competitive sport, the most interesting event will be the senior ice dance with Hurtado/Khavialin and Smart/Diaz fighting for the national gold and the Worlds spot.

Hieloespanol has confirmed Javi will not participate in the Spanish nationals (14-16 December). He will only skate at the gala.

Ice dance RD (only 2 couples):

1. Olivia SMART / Adriá DÍAZ - 69.86
2. Sara HURTADO / Kirill KHALIAVIN - 69.37 (Sara had some wobbling in the 2nd set of twizzles)

The difference is 0.49. Everything will be decided in tomorrow's FD.

Wow, less than .5 difference between H/K and S/D! Such a pity about the twizzle mistake for Sara! The FD is going to be crazy but I have a feeling that Spanish judges want to get them off their hands and let the Europeans decide, hahaha

Both outings weren’t too bad, to tell the truth, but Olivia and Adria were visibly disappointed with the score.

The Spanish commentator said that the Spanish Federation will surely wait for the European results to take the decision regarding the Worlds.

Only 1 participant in the senior category, but 17 in Junior Ladies. That gives some hopes for the future.
