I hope there's enough coffee for the judges

Angelina Kuchvalska will skate there, good that she's still competing after her difficult seasons.
No Diana Nikitina nor Deniss Vasiljevs, but both are training in Switzerland.

There's a novice pair from Uzbekistan and 2 novice dance teams from Cyprus!

Nikitina's recovering from an injury and probably wouldn't be back to competition readiness by this point - per her Instagram, she's only just got back on the ice - and Vasiljevs has the Alpen Trophy on 11 November IIRC*, so I didn't expect to see either of them here. But Kailani and Ivett! And Azia Mambekova! And my favourite junior girl is making her senior debut here too. :)

I think the judges are going to need caffeine on an IV...

*Sorry, no, not Alpen Trophy, NHK on 9-11 November.

Aww, Kanysheva and Kuzmenko are competing together again. Now if only Sinitsyna was with them...
... and RusFed had sent at least one girl in seniors...

Kurnosenko won't be allowed to compete, though, she's only born in 2006 (coach: Evgeni Plushenko)

I was also shocked by the sheer volume of entries :reye: There are as many ladies competing here as there are usually at Euros or Worlds :drama:

Lots of new seniors moving up from juniors, I think. But at least at this competition they'll all get to do the FS. :)

The list hasn't been updated yet, but Kailani Craine will obviously be withdrawing from the Senior Ladies event here as she's just replaced Gabrielle Daleman at NHK Trophy on the same dates.

In pairs we'll have French nationals as the only 3 couples that will compete in Riga represent France :)

Well, the Senior Ladies' field has come down to a sliiiiiiightly more manageable 38 (on paper) and 37 (in fact, given that Kailani apparently still hasn't remembered to tell them to take her off the list). Meanwhile, Junior Men is absolutely bleeding competitors, down from 20+ to 14 over the past week or so, while Junior Ladies still sits at 44. It's going to be a long day for those poor girls...

And it's still a preview of French Nationals in the Senior Pairs. I'll back Hamon/Strekalin's Hunger Games free skate against all (two) comers!

Tuned in and found myself watching adv novice men - what a cutie is Nikita Kovalenko! Very fun program, fast skater, nice spins. Jumps a bit iffy with one fall, but I liked it a lot.

YAY, happy for Sondre and his coach Berit Steigedal jumping up and down after his best ever SP score, 67.82. Tech 36.38, which qualifies for worlds

Now just skate for that free minimum tech!

I'm not following everyone here, but I guess a lot of them are fighting for qualifing points. I'll watch Nikolaj and a few others.
