2019 US Nationals Junior Ice Dance

Wow, Greens into 1st by almost 5 points. Didn't see that coming. I thought Avonley and Vadym were a lock for 1st. Well, as a Greens fan I can't complain, although I don't think that was their sharpest performance.

I think the lack of sharpness comes from not skating full season, the material is still a bit rusty and not gelled. But they are just so good, smooth on the ice, lovely in partnerings, mature in presentation, lots of speed, coverage, attack... I saw them in Toruń at Mentor Cup 2 weeks ago and they were a revelation. I saw junior ID for the first time in Toruń and they set standard very high for me.

I love this top three. I only saw the Greens so far and without music. Wow! They are good even if they still need some polish. Sharp, confident and fast. Love it!

Avonley had a problem with the twizzle in their step sequence, which is one of the reasons why that was level 2.
