That was an uninspiring competition. Not terrible, just not exciting. I was surprised that nobody seemed to be mentioning the fact that the girl in the second pair missed grabbing her skate in the lift.
I had to laugh when the commentator said Peng/Jin's botched side by side jumps were a surprise. Has he been watching them skate over the last two years? The jumps aren't there more than they are. I thought the lift was awkward looking and unlovely. Clearly they were the cream of the crop here, though, and will win with little difficulty.
