So, 2 skaters out of 4 in the opening group did their SP. That's not a good hit rate.

Well, at least there are more out on the ice for the Group 2 Warm-Up.

Although, that said, I don't think we have our full quota. I only counted 4 going through the camera shot at the start of the Warm-Up. There were supposed to be 5.

Maybe somebody was staying out of shot at the start. I hope!

I was going to say "and he's not even a local!" But, I just checked and Kocaeli is the next provice to the east of Istanbul. So, I suppose he is.

Burak DEMIRBOĞA goes into 2nd position, 6.45 points behind Litvintsev, and about 30 ahead of Kotlařík.

More massive cheers for Alp Eren ÖZKAN (TUR). But I was expecting this, as he is an Istanbul boy.

I reckon Alp Eren ÖZKAN could slot into 2nd, and make it relatively close between the Top 3.

Oh. He goes into 3rd, about 13 points behind Burak DEMIRBOĞA.

I thought the two Turkish skaters would be closer together than that.

So, we ended up with 6 skating out of the 9 that were entered.

They were representing 5 countries, so hopefully that will still be enough.

And now we have a longer break than scheduled, due to the withdrawals. Hopefully it will be long enough for me to finish the episode of Deep Space 9 that I started watching during the last break.

And that is the Singles skating finished for the day. We now move onto the first Ice Dance competitions of the week. 10 Junior partnerships followed by 8 Senior partnerships.

Massive support for Irmak YÜCEL / Nikita IVANOV (TUR).

I can't find out anything about them, but I suppose that Irmak might be a local.

Ah, Irmak was competing in Junior Ladies last season, finishing 11th in Nationals. She was representing Adım Buz Pateni̇ Spor Kulübü Derneği̇. But, I don't know where that club is located.

So, she is brand new to Ice Dance.

They go into 3rd out of 3. But are only about 5 points behind the other two partnerships.

Boys but this is a very partisan crowd this afternoon compared to the rest of the week.

Although, to be fair, they looked pretty good to me!

Unfortunately, not good enough for the Judges. Into last place.

Wow. Everybody recently has been going into last place. Sofiya BURIEVA / Konstantin LI (UZB) are the latest.

Let's hope that trend doesn't continue with my kids!

Well, my kids have definitely halted the recent trend of partnerships going into last position.

They are definitely going into the lead!

That said, there was a little collision near the end, where they were closer to each other than they thought. But, it shouldn't have much of an impact, if any, on the score.

Long wait for the scores. I'm starting to get worried now. After all, I got it totally wrong for Stefania's FS.

Third. But, they are only 2.09 points behind 2nd position, and 2.99 points behind the leaders.

I was correct. There was a partnership missing from the Warm-Up. Ambre PERRIER GIANESINI / Samuel BLANC KLAPERMAN (FRA) have withdrawn.

So, both French partnerships withdrew.

It'll be interesting to see if the two partnerships representing France at Senior level are here, or if they have withdrawn as well.

Is it just me, or is there only one partnership on the ice during this Group 1 Warm-Up?

It was only when I opened the livescoring page at the end of the Juniors that I spotted that I had kids in the Seniors as well. And I frantically made out a post for their Fan Fest. But, now it looks like I didn't need to bother.
