The good news is that Canadian Nationals will go on. Novices have been cancelled. Here is the updated schedule.
They generally do, but I don't know for how long. Next week would probably be OK, but I wouldn't expect to find them months from now.

Oh dear - Radford and James just had covid and have been off the ice in two weeks and just started training yesterday again. They might WD.

CBC now is promoting Gem, competitions and shows will be archived to Gem for a long period of time. For example, you still can watch the last two seasons of Battle of the Blades on Gem.
Max Deschamps was also reported as Covid positive in the last month or so, if the report is true, then this pair team may not be at their best either, along with James/Radford if they all do decide to skate... I certainly don't want anyone to injure themselves or their partner's doing more than they are physically up to ( shuddering at the memory of exhausted Tiff Z at Russian National's being carried back to the dressing room). Get well soon to all those affected or injured!
Seems Keeghan Messing spent 33hrs traveling from Alaska to Ottawa, while he and his family finally made it, seems his skates were MIA, hope they arrive ASAP, so he can still practice and compete. Hopefully, the majority of competitors are still healthy, trained, have all costumes/skates, etc, and all will be fully prepared to show their best possible in Ottawa, given limited training time during a pandemic. I am also hoping those who may be retiring after this season ends, will all skate their best at their final Nationals and will go out with a celebratory bang, no regrets, and not unhappy, defeated whimpers.
I have a feeling I will be in a puddle of tears by the end of the competition, no matter what happens in terms of results, as some of my very fav skaters's who I have followed and cheered for since they were in novice/juniors will be skating at nationals for the very last time. Thanks for sharing your talent and love for the sport with this fan; may your future shine brightly whatever path you choose going forward in life!

Does anyone know if you can watch the CBC livestreams after they’ve been aired? Or do you have to watch them live? Or can you catch-up on Gem? Thank you!

I’ve signed up to a free trial of Gem but it doesn’t allow you to search for sporting events so I’m very confused about whether they are actually archiving the livestreams or not.
