The coach could have tried to talk him out of it. Remember Yuzuru and Han Yan at CoC 2014, Brian apparently did try to talk Yuzuru round... they are young, they think they can and should push through it.

The referee should have stepped in, though.

I can't watch Yudong Chen. :( He shouldn't be skating with his injury. He had his whole future ahead of him - don't wreck it now!!!
Yeah definitely skip it, it's really sad and quite distressing.

I'm actually wondering about the audience? I feel like I'd be scarred for life if I'd watched that live at the venue.

I would argue that even in senior competitions they should be stopped if it's clear to see they are injured and there's a huge risk when they jump again
same as when their lace are loose or something
I agree, Ashley cain springs to mind, when she carried on skating after her first concussion.
We also have 16 and 17 year old in senior competitions so really there should always be someone looking for these athletes!
