Mmmm. The Time Schedule at the bottom of the page is up the creek, so here is the Preliminary Time Schedule PDF:

http://kristalice.lv/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/PTS.Latvia-Trophy-2023.pdf

According to it, there are supposed to be Advanced Novice competitions as well, but there is no sign of any Entry Lists for them yet.

I hope they haven't been dropped.

The number of entries is rather low, but it is to be expected due to the calendar. It's a real shame that this is scheduled for the same weekend as the GP Final and the Golden Spin. Because more skaters will opt to compete in the Golden Spin because it is a Challenger event and so counts towards PB's; and more fans will opt to watch the GP Final because, well, it is the GP Final!

As it stands, I only have one kid here. And that means that Stefania Yakovleva (CYP) will be doing back-to-back competitions, as she will be in Istanbul for the Bosphorus Cup this week. I am always nervous of skaters competing on consecutive weeks.

@ladyjane - will this be the first Senior level competition for Roos van der Pas? Or has she done domestic competitions at Senior level before?

I think so @CaroLiza_fan. I've seen some other juniors have a go this season (like Julia van Dijk) but I haven't seen Roos do one yet. The sr competition domestically is not very strong (jrs stronger) so she hasn't done that either.

Edit: she did it last weekend (domestically) for the first time and won with flying colours because as I noted, the competition is at a low level.

Basically, there are a lot more Interclub competitions, and the ISU competitions are starting later in the day as a result.

And speaking of Interclub competitions, here is the Entries / Results Page for the Interclub part of the event:

The Time Schedule at the bottom of the page is up the creek here too!

Hope this helps

I was just getting the first reminder post for the Latvia Trophy ready before the Senior Ladies SP at the GP Final starts. And when I opened the Solid Sport page to get the link for today's stream, I found this notice:

As there are technical problems on site, the livestream is unfortunately not running yet. The producer is working to get the livestream online as soon as possible.

Things aren't going well with the pay streams this week, are they?

The Latvia Trophy begins with a girls double-bill. 19 Juniors, followed by 11 Seniors. First up are the 19 Juniors, who are arranged into a group of 4 girls; followed by three groups of 5 girls. Because the Time Schedule PDF's aren't working, I am not sure when the resurfacings will be.

Livestream for Junior Ladies FS is now on air.

Here is the link for the livestream (€3.00):

We stay with the girls, but move to the Seniors. 11 of them, arranged into a group of 5 girls; followed by a group of 6 girls.

Live stream works for Zamboni, will it continue once the competition starts?

I hope so. I haven't bought the stream, but everything seemed to be in the right place on the index page by the time that I posted the reminder post for the first competition of the day. So, I assume they had got all technical problems sorted out by then, and that it has been showing the Junior girls without problems.

The junior women, no stream , halfway through stream, after zamboni no stream. Its not the money, $5.00 for 2 days. But I'd like to see the competition and I definitely want to see Deniss.

My goodness! That's awful!

I know we complain about technical problems on free streams but, apart from missing out on something we want to see, we are not out of pocket. But, it is something else when it happens on a stream that is being paid for. You naturally expect better service, because you are paying for it.

Of course, we know technical problems can happen. But, I hope Solid Sport are good enough to issue refunds. Not so much for the money (it's not much in the greater scheme of things). But to make up for the disappointment of not seeing who you want to see.
