Just stopping by to say congrats to Alina, and I hope she skates lights out in PyeongChang and gets the gold! I also hope she is getting the support she needs in preparation for the Olympics, and that she continues to gain momentum. I absolutely love her jumps and spins, and think she is a very talented skater.

Can I just mention that not only do I enjoy her friendly rivalry with Zhenya in terms of competitions, I also like the contrast in their characters, which is so apparent from the photos and videos that we have seen the last couple of days from Japan. Zhenya is all smiley and open for the public, whereas Alina is quite private and silent (and sneaking in slowly into the spot light, snapping all the medals like a boss and enjoying her life eace: )
