My current favorite Exhibition is Yuzuru's Haru Yo, Koi. I fell in love with it instantly when he debut it during Fantasy on Ice during the summer. To date, it's the only time I cried at an exhibit program.

My favorite parts was when he threw the ice over head in celebration, the slow curved layback Ina Bauer, the beyond intricate entry into the Triple Loop, and of course the super low Hydroblade where he kiss the ice.

I will sing this program to any one who's willing to hear me screaming about it.

Everything in your post! Watching this live at Helsinki was the top highlight of my life last year...you can tell the whole arena had their breath taken away when it finished... I never thought another ex can top Notte Stellata as my favourite Yuzu's exhibition, but this one surely did.

I'm using this thread to ask for gala programs that I cannot find anymore: who was the American skater who did a Harry Potter routine (in SOI i think)? And who was the skater who made a routine about the past skating styles? Thank you!

Re: the program with different skating styles, perhaps you are thinking of Doug Mattis's hilarious program. I don't have the link, but it's on Youtube. It is from a US Open Professional Championship, from the mid 1990's.

Mao Asada I really like her combination of smooth intricacy and complexity in blade work done with fabulous dance steps, impressive spirals, spins, rapid pirouettes with leg kicks mixed in with the jumps.

Dad watched a Bundesliga talk and zapped during the commercial break to Eurosport. It's been the first time I've seen any kind of figure skating broadcast in 20 years.

...and I fell in trance. Eyes widened, mouth open, jaw dropped. I expected dad to switch back to soccer, but he stared with the same face at the screen as I did.
We've only seen the second half of that EX program, looked at each other and rewound to watch the full performance. From that moment figure skating has won my heart.

It was Yuzu's Notte Stellata at GPF 2016.

Henni147, thank you for sharing this story! I haven’t watched the program and just did, it is exquisite. Learned another interesting fact, because I happened to click on the version that has been aired on Russian TV with Tarasova and a man commenting. They said that Tatiana Tarasova had something to do with it - she heard the music and thought of Yuzuru, so she gave him the music. And was receving many thanks from him, including flowers at the day of that gala in 2016. He is truly such an inspirational skater and a wonderful person.

Yes, he even wrote her a letter in Russian to thank her https://www.instagram.com/p/BONc9QMDEql/?hl=hu :)
During Rostelocom Cup 2019 Tarasova gave him some new music. I think she mentioned before that she would like Yuzuru to skate to Rachmaninoff so maybe it's something by him :)

Notte Stellata is special. Yuzuru dedicated his Worlds 2017 performance to Brian Orser's late father (Brian usually doesn't stay for galas but he stayed then to watch it live). And Pyeonchang performance to victims who died in tsunami disaster in 2011.

The funny thing is: it was not even clean, but he managed to save that 3A as if it was planned like that.

Overall it's my favorite version besides his Olympic EX, because he took the time to extend every pose and move as long as possible so that you as a viewer had the chance to dive in and save those images in your memory (*that Ina Bauer...)
Many skaters move so fast from one element to the next that you don't have the time to enjoy and appreciate it really...

Wow I wish I could see this live. I did have an option of going to FOI where he started performing this piece, but it was a little far away so I decided not too. REGRET!

^^^That moment when Nathan wagged his finger at the idea of doing a quad during his Stole the Show EX was hilarious. The crowd loved it!

Loved when (before an ice show) Shoma performed his See You Again EX in honor of Denis Ten.
