I like that the video not only shows their happiest moments but hardships at the same time....

Personally I just think they have very similar personality and they both never give up. That's what makes them friends because they have same love for what they do.

The last part is cute but I don't really ship them... Sorry )))

I like this fanmade video.
I like Yuzuru and Evgenia. :luv17:
I can't even imagine how hard they work.
I like how they communicate with each other. it's cute! And i agree that they have very similar personalities.
I don't "ship" anyone from the real world. But I like to see a friendship or warm relations between skaters from different countries. Especially if they're my two favorites skaters.:

A nice video, but I was distracted by the song. In a good way. I need to know that name of that song.: I HAVE A MIGHTY NEED

I've noticed that a lot of people here are fans of both Yuzu and Zhenya. It's almost like a buy-one-get-one-free deal. I wouldn't fall into the realm of a shipper, though. I love seeing them be silly together and how their friendship has evolved these past two years but I don't view it as romantic. But that's just my view of it, it's totally cool to ship them if you'd like, I ain't stopping you. :p I think it only becomes a problem when people start to get a little...out of control and it's all they can think about when they see them together and leave messages all over Zhenya's Instagram and Twitter. I hope no one here does that. :slink: There's been an increase in shippers lately and I hope they keep their boundaries because I've seen quite a bit of questionable content as of late. I hope people can remember that Zhenya and Yuzu are their own people and that not everything they do revolves around the other.

Nevertheless, I think we can all agree that it's a nice friendship and that we enjoy seeing them interact. :)

I think it's a nice friendship  their personalities are similar in some ways and perhaps that's why we see various fans of Yuzu who are also fans of Zhenya and the other way around. For example, for me, they have been the only two skaters (+Yuna) that I have become a fan of right from the first time I saw them (saw Zhenya for the first time in her senior debut at SA and I liked her right from the SP.

Omg SAME. Some skaters you just like them the first time you saw them. I saw Zhenya at the 2016 European for the first time, and even though she fell on a 2A, I knew that she was special and then just started to follow her and figure skating. And, I am just so proud of her and amaze by how much she has improved from there on, becoming a world champ and now a two-time world champ. It is just wonderful, and I'll forever support and love her no matter what.

Definitely. She keeps on growing as a skater and a performer. Aside from her 3-3-3(-3....) combinations, I think her consistency also brings something new to the table: It's possible for a skater to be in good shape all season long (I still chuckle at Nathan saying he was very surprised when she made a mistake in France because it just didn't seem possible), it's possible for a skater to deliver practically every time, it's possible for a skater fresh off juniors to climb all the way to the top and stay there in a single season.
Or who knows perhaps it's not possible for anyone other than her

That video is soo cool! I also fell in love with the song  I really like their interactions and their friendship is very cute haha I am happy when they talk to each other but that's it. I understand that it's their personal life and people shouldn't really intefere:agree:I don't mind if they date though :rofl2: I wonder what Zhenya thinks when she sees comments about her and Yuzu on the internet?

The first time I saw Zhenya was when she first skated Sailor Moon. I remember my mum telling me to take a look as Zhenya is a World Champion that doesn't hide her love for Japan haha. After I watched that performance I though that she is really cool. Then I found out about Yuzu and both of them pulled me into the skating world. Both of them like skating so much and always try to improve I guess this is what makes me love them.

Is it possible to get to 200 pages before the Olympic season starts?:handw:

I'd be down for that. :agree: Though since it's the off season things will be slow...I hope someone here knows Russian and can keep us updated! :p

Hmmm, to start a discussion...what is your favorite Evgenia program, and why?

Well, since I think she made leaps and bounds from junior to senior (well duh). So, so far from what we've seen in competition W.E. is my favorite. I like how they used music from a movie but she didn't aim to portray the story of the movie, but one of her own. The jumps were matched so well with the music that, even though it's so heavily backloaded, it didn't give me the impression of it being that way. The inspiration (Eteri's daughter) is quite touching and call me cheesy but I liked the music editing at the beginning and the use of sign language at the end.
As for EX, that's where it gets harder. I loved her Parole EX, I thought it was a lot of fun (even though it was weird seeing her flirt with the cameraman  ) and of course, Sailor Janny though I wasn't completely sold on the program when she performed it at DOI, I loved it after she polished it for WTT. Ostanus was also a very nice EX, would have loved to see more of it.

SP: Melodies of the White Night, I like it because the music really suits her and the opening choreographic steps were so beautiful/charming and matched with the music and her style.
LP: W.E., I love everything about this program. The dress and the color of the dress really emphasize her beauty and her body. The music was so integrated together which create a natural flow, her postures throughout the program were crystal perfect and again matched with the note of the music, and when she spreads her arms and smile at the audience at the end, it just melts my heart. Her face is gorgeous, and her smile is so sincere. That program was a complete package; I think I watched it like a thousand time already. It is one of those programs that I will remember forever.
EX: The one that David Wilson did for Javier's show. The black dress and the hair style introduce me to another side of her and the softness and lightness of the program.
I hope her team will create programs as memorable and beautiful as these for next season. The programs from this season were a bit repetitive in terms of emotion and gestures, and I don't really like the music. But it is still a masterpiece, a Medvedeva's masterpiece, I think no one could have portrayed it better than her, and at the end of the season, I did enjoy it.

Zhenya is nominated by Sarah S. Brannen for Icenetwork's person of the year. This article was really pleasant to read; it has perspectives from different skaters and coaches on how incredible Zhenya is. Also, write something on their twitter post. I think that's how they determine the winner.
