you're the best.

also how do you remember that? it seems you simply knew off the top of your head.

It maxe an impression on me at the time. Unusual cool combo.

I dong think she landed much else in the wY of triples in her singles freeskate. But she won her first pairs title that year, which i'm sure was more important.

I have the feeling that was either Ito or Bonaly who did the first 3lz-3t, as for the 2a-3t Ito was doing it in 1984

Elaine Zayak was doing 2a-3T in the 80s, as was Debi Thomas.

Surya Bonaly did a 3Z-3T at 89 Worlds, but as per usual it was probably UR.

2A+3T, 3F, 3T+3T, 3L (step out), 3Z (fall), 3S, 2A

Impressive for 1984! I wonder if she was penalized for Zayaking.

i think the rule wasn't in place then?

Rule was enacted during the 1982-83 season. The deduction was 0.1 for each infraction during 6.0, I think. Her TS marks there were still pretty high.

Even though the flow out is not very good, it looks like Surya did it in competition before both Kristi and Midori.

Is there a female skater who did it before Surya?

Probably not, because before 1991 women weren't even trying the lutz jump all that much, much less adding a 3T to it. Before 1988 I can't think of anyone besides Denise B, Ivanova, or Midori who even tried the jump (among top ladies).

I am going to say that Kristi's 1991 Trophee Lalique 3lutz/3toe was the first one in competition for a lady:

Kristi and Midori both landed it at 1991 Trophee Lalique, but since Kristi skated first, she was the first lady to land it in competition. She also tried it at 1991 Skate America, but fell on the 3toe, as someone else mentioned:https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=0KEGeni5FmQ#t=91

I actually think Midori only started doing it that season when she saw Kristi attempting it:
