Mens is over. I only guessed Kovtun and Han's placement correct, but since 6th doesn't count, I only net 30 points... :slink:

Miraculously I have 3-6 correct. If only I'd switched Hanyu and Chan... but 90 points isn't bad I suppose... for men:laugh:

I'll score the rest later, but a quick scan shows that Becki has the highest score at 120. She got the top 4 but switched Han and Kovtun's placements. i will say there are a few members of the zero club this time around. :slink:

It's all Chan's fault!

I have to say I haven't updated the spreadsheet and probably can't until Sunday. So for scorers, if you score before then, either feel free to update the spreadsheet yourself or, else keep track of the scores somewhere else for now. Sorry to have dropped the ball on this- real life is such a pain

Oddly enough - and thanks to Nobu - not me. :) It's especially funny as I put him up there... because I wanted him to do well. I mean, I thought he could - but primarily I had him 3rd because I like him, and wanted him to skate up to his potential. Well, who says favouritism is always bad? ;) Meanwhile, the rest of my men's predictions is an utter and unmitigated mess - but then, I knew that! :)

Yes, my "persistence" in placing Yuzuru first against all odds paid off! :)

I'm a member of the 0 club for the men. I may get one or two in the others, but I pretty much sucked all the way around. (Did anyone predict that Savchenko/Szolkowvy would beat Volosozhar/Trankov?)

WHAT!?! A perfect score... Well, this helps me feel not as bad about totally bombing the pairs and getting a 30 in the mens.

And many thanks to tulosai and company for running the prediction game!! I had a blast.

Okay, it's been a long Grand Prix series...especially if you were trying to predict the men! But alas, the judging is done and all the scores are in!

The Grand Prix final proved to be a game changer in the men. The winner, as noted earlier, is Becki, who correctly predicted four out of five placements. Several others got 90 including waxel, tulosai, candy clouds , colleen o'neil and sky_fly20.

The mean score was 53.4.

And now here are our men's division top scorers. Congrats! :hb:

GOLD: waxel, 360 points
SILVER: Becki, 340 points (She came from behind like her favorite skater (Yuzuru) and got on the medal stand with a whopping 22-placement jump!)
BRONZE: tulosai, 335 points (Another come from behind, 10 spots!)
----
4th: Blades of Passion, 325
5th: colleen o'neil, 320
6th: koatcue, 305
7th: sequinsgalore, 300
8th: rosacotton, 295
9th: Wilhelmina, 290
10th (tie!): Candy clouds, Macassar88 and Mrs. P (that's me!) 285

It's been fun, everyone!

Thanks to everyone who scored! I did it last year when I was running everything, and it was a pain to do.

Are we going to do Euros and 4CC and Olympics and Worlds?

Could anyone explain me why do I have 0 for men in GPF?
It might not decide anything anymore, but kind of pity to see

Indeed, Mrs P! The Impossible Quest remained Impossible, I believe - no one got 5/5... ever, did they? So a big  to those who did 4/5! And to the top scorers overall, of course! :) Well, I hope we will do this again next year, and then, I think, I'll try to remember to remind everyone to always "believe six impossible things before breakfast" as training for pinning down those pesky men's predictions - and, if it doesn't help, it can never be wrong! ;)

Meanwhile, thanks to all the scorers for wonderful work done! This has been really fun, and I do really hope we'll all get together next year for another prediction game!

Aaaaaaaagh! 4th?! Really! Good heavens above... (faints - picks up self from floor) Good grief! I'm flabbergasted... It must have been the GPF that did it, then... Goodness gracious... I just recently checked my predictions against the ladies' results - I haven't watched the ladies yet, so was avoiding the results, but curiosity got the better of me... My first and only 5/5, I think... That was stunning enough, but... wow! (stunned & silenced with shock)
