I had to actually Google what that publication was! But yeah, Armond is knowledgeable about cinemas, but let's say he's no longer taken seriously among the *ahem* more elite critics. I remember when he gave the first (and one of the very few) negative reviews for Get Out earlier this year, saying it was a "Kill Whitey" movie that's racist to Caucasians, or something ...

Well, was it? I've never heard of the movie.
Of course, I'm not in tune with much of modern day culture.
I prefer listening to the oldies and watching classic movies, although I've recently discovered how much better overseas television programs are to those produced by our substandard TV networks.
After a while, you don't mind the sub-titles.
I sometimes catch a few National Review articles if they're brought to my attention. It's a predominantly Conservative publication, isn't it? Some of the ideas in their articles and editorials I endorse, others I don't. But I agree they're not at the top of my list for movie reviews.
