At least based on this article:

I am not sure why PL, but I am happy because she has the TES scores to compete at Worlds next year!

Also, Finland is safe for Worlds, if Kiira Korpi decided not to continue,
Anni JÄRVENPÄÄ
Viveca LINDFORS
and Jenni SAARINEN all have the TES required.

I believe that is also why Liubov decided to compete for another country, as the field in Finland is surprisingly strong.

On the other hand Poland, in spite of being by far the largest of "Four nations" countries, it produced the weakest results both at the most recent Four Nations and at the most recent Worlds, where its best result was 25th, behind Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary.

Happy for her for making this decision.
She would have to wait too long for her chance to go if to World Juniors, Euros or Worlds standing in queue behind Kiira Korpi and Jenni Saarinen. And you even can't say that field in Finland is that strong if to consider Kiira's unluck this season and that Jenni Saarinen couldn't make it to top 10 in Junior Worlds.

I think that the field in Finland is strong in that sense that one cannot be sure if one is elected to Junior Worlds or Euros as there are some other girls who might get better results. Here is the Finnish federation page for season's best score (they usually send the one with the best score to Euros etc.)

So you see Viveca Lindfors and Anni Järvenpää got nearly as good results as Efimenko. Nice to see Efimenko competing for Poland. I liked her and always remember her won as novice at the Nordics

Good luck to her. :)

I just found out this Finnish article http://www.iltasanomat.fi/taitoluistelu/art-1428115971700.html
Through her father she has Polish background so that's how they could make this big decision. She is still practising in Finland but is also open to other possibilities. She wants to go the Euros, Worlds and Olympics and get good results. And by representing Poland she has good possibilities to get to big competitions. This has nothing to do with Kiira's unluck this season.

The ladies field is surprisingly strong. If we actually add the scores of Seniors and Juniors, we would have Juulia Turkkila at 7th only (although I am aware she was injured most of the season).

I am saying surprisingly because the last two Worlds were disastrous for FI with no top 24 finish in any of the four categories and now we have so many ladies vying for only one spot for Euros and Worlds. With the Worlds in Helsinki (which are also qualifiers for PyongChang), it looks like Finland will be able to get its act together (at least in Ladies and maybe in Dance).
