Madison has begun posting to her instagram account again. She and Evan seem to have settled into life in Montreal and appear to be very happy there. I was relieved to see their dogs have made the move with them. The thing that worried me most about their move to Canada was what would happen to Stella and Henry. I recalled that Zach Donahue had to rehome his pet ferrets when he made the move to Montreal. I'm glad Madi and Evan were able to keep their pets and that Stella and Henry appear to have adjusted well.

"Fever" seems right up their alley, but I might have chosen a different cover than Elvis or Buble. Not sure I can see sweet, gentle Evan as a "hunka hunka burning love". But apparently Madi sees him that way, and that's what matters most. Then again, Evan was very commanding in their tango show program, so I don't want to sell him short.
If they opt for an Elvis theme in their costuming, I hope they go for the young, rebellious Elvis and not the Vegas jumpsuit Elvis. I'll be disappointed if Evan doesn't show up in jeans and a t-shirt with a pack of cigarettes rolled up in the sleeve.

I was SO looking forward to seeing Madison and Evan in Helsinki... miss them... I hope Madison continues to heal up strong and healthy!! When are they scheduled to compete next, does anyone know? Missing this GP comp, do they still have a chance to make the GPF?
Technically its not impossible for them to make GPF, but it require so many strange events and withdrawals that it's not really possible. I'm not even totally sure we'll see them in Russia. I hope that she's healing well and they just need more time to be prepared properly.

for the update chameleon. I am disappointed for them and still hope we will see them at least one time this season.. fingers crossed..
Something I have found encouraging is that I haven't seen her wearing an ankle wrap in any of the pictures or stories of them working out, and she's worn heels on a couple of occasions, whereas last season I noticed she mostly wore flats or sneakers. Hoping everything is going well!

Well, they're still listed in the Rostelecom competition, I hope they'll be able to make it. Their most serious rival in that competition is the Helsinki's Gold Medalists _ Stepanova and Bukin. The programs in terms of FD music are diametrically opposite so I'm very interested in how their program will be scored by the judges. In a way, I'm thrilled they are exploring other styles and I think the new direction has their coaches' stamp of approval.

. I also truly hope that it's just lack of training time. This season is already becoming more boring than I remember any season since I have been following figure skating closely ever being. Not that my boredom with figure skating is really important in the face of Madison's possible difficulties with her foot. But, yes, to be honest, I really want to finally see their new programs under their new coaches.

Madi and Evan could be seen skating in the background in videos posted by some Montreal teams this past summer. The videos were posted around the first of August, so I think C/B were back on the ice by late July. Of course, getting back on the ice and getting back to full strength are two very different things. Better to take things slow and recuperate completely.

Promoting the upcoming National Championships seems to have been a big part of the recent trip to Michigan. Madison and Evan appear to have especially enjoyed being guests at the Pistons game.
