I'm sure Daisuke wil be better by nationals, last season he had a disastrous GPF too.
My daily goat-sacrificing quotient for Daisuke has now been bumped up to two.

Chan deserved to win.
That said, the score is an absolute joke. Especially the 9.00 for interpretation. This is one area where he is incredibly overrated. In general, his free was a bit lackluster, despite the no falls.
A very disappointing men's free.
Yeah, the rough landings on some of his jumps didn't really add to the overall impression.
But to be honest, I'm just glad Patrick didn't win with four falls. Ah, the relief of low expectations![/QUOTE]
Yep me too. But this program still is blah to me. As someone said earlier, he just kinda skates through the music.
Hoping the Japanese men will come back strong at worlds.

What are you talking about, that's 9.00-type IN right there according to the judges!!
I woke up late and only caught from Dai forward. But Patrick seemed to be skating very well and nice to see him win without a judging controversy.
At least, this time Patrick was the clear winner. I do find his score to be a joke when you compare his program with Takahashi's program from 2008.

Well, to be fair, score inflation has been the norm for the past few seasons.
But I want to know who the judge in the first column is! That judge has balls, giving 7s to Patrick
In the K&C I thought I heard him in upbeat tone say "they didn't downgrade that quad". I think his coach replied "I think there's been some discussion"
