Why are the translated titles so wordy and elaborate?

This reminds me of titles of Haruki Murakami's short stories.

Examples:

AEROPLANE: OR, HOW HE TALKED TO HIMSELF AS IF RECITING POETRY

ON SEEING THE 100% PERFECT GIRL ONE BEAUTIFUL APRIL MORNING



And hang on to your mohawks and twizzles and I swear this is real on both Nathan and Boyang's quadruple lutzes.

THE FALL OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE, THE 1881 INDIAN UPRISING, HITLER'S INVASION OF POLAND, AND THE REALM OF RAGING WINDS

And the last one is only for one short story. You can't make these things up even if you want to.

Not to mention the novel Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage

Yup, stream is live... I see lots of the men, I'm guessing they must be first up... and a huge National Champion's Trophy perched on a chair on the front row next to Shoma, it's nearly as big as he is...! ;-D

I used the livetvnet link to watch XOI last week, it worked fine for me but not a friend. The friend said switching to tablet worked though. I just did a quick test with PC, it doesn't seem to work with chrome well but firefox is okay. So try a different browser may work.
