Just to add this: if I'm reading a post and someone uses a nickname or a portwhatever, I stop reading. I enjoy reading posts but I don't want to work that hard to figure out who you're talking about. It doesn't take that many finger strokes to type out a full name. As much as I love figure skating, I don't live it and breathe it and don't always know who the heck you're talking about.
