Wow, that was bad. She is a beautiful skater, her lines are really pretty. But when skating with Galiamov, she was reliable with her triple toe and triple Sal, whereas here she doubled toe loop and fell on Salchow. What’s going on? Maybe they spent so much time on pair elements that they neglected their side by side jumps? There was some improvement with some elements, the twist is now triple... but after nearly the whole season in pairs, some of his mistakes are a bit annoying. Nearly falling down on the death spiral, aborting the lift... And it is like if her skills deteriorated to match his level, rather than her pushing his skills up. That’s sad. Next season he won’t be junior eligible any more and they are not ready for seniors yet.

I wonder what is Simenenko doing now. Since being split up with Kudryavtseva, I haven’t heard anything about him. Can’t he skate with Osipova? He was a pretty decent skater and so is she (if she doesn’t skate with Tarasenko). Maybe Tarasenko needs a beginner pair lady and just take his time learning it slowly.

After all 31 skated
1 Elizaveta Nugumanova 74.22 (Bonus 3) - trouble with music, skated in two halfs. 3Lz, 3Lo+3Lo<, 2A, CCo4V (no sit), but in protocols we will not see mistakes. Nice skating though, very nice spins.
2 Alexandrina Degtyareva 73.69 (Bonus 3) - overscored for sure
3 Sofia Khozyainova 70.23 (Bonus 3)
4 Sofia Moroz 68.71 (Bonus 2)
5 Eva Kobzar 66.37 (Bonus 2) - very nice skating, good spins, not so good combo 3T+3T
6 Maria Talalaikina 65.32 (Bonus 2) - clean, nice but 3F+2T
7 Nicole Vaitkus 63.88 (Bonus 1) - very nice girl born 10 Feb 2006. Gap between Moroz and Vaitkus looks too big.

Nugumanova's music starting skipping but she kept performing....and eventually stopped. When they started again it was different music. I'm not all that familiar with her programs so I'm unsure if it's from seasons past. Anyone have any details on this? I found it very interesting to watch her skate without music for a while.

Glad the music issue didn't affect her skating.

Ow, what a disaster for Nugumanova. Finishing only 4th after leading after SP. And the tears.

Moroz very overscored. No calls at all, huh? I see at least:

3Lz-3Lo<
3Lz<-3T<
Especially that 3T is very close to being <<.

This skate shouldn't even have received 120 points.
