Skate Canada: Predictions Game Round 2

I can 't believe that Posters really think the judges would put G/P over C/B no matter how they skate! I actually expect C/B to improve there SB score by at least 10 points here and be very close to V/M!

I think posters are doing this (me included) because they're skating in Canada, which means the crowd is going to be super for G/P and I personally am not a fan of of C/B programs (especially SD). And in their lead ups C/B lost to C/L and Bobrova/Soloviev.

You're missing the point. What does it matter if they're contenders or not? They were put in predicitions. And so I have written about B/D WD to let people who had them in top 5 know. And so I don't undertsand why you have quoted my post in first place. What was the purpose? Saying nobody has them in top6? (which is not true) or that my post has no meaning, because in your opinion they're not contneders? This is not a Pairs discussion thread and your post was irrelevant to my post, who was all about predicitions (and peolpe are free to put whoever they want in them) and not my opinion on whichever Pair couple.

Actually, strangely, I feel you are missing the point too

Here's something you may want to think about :

These alerts are somewhat not so useful if they are scattered in the middle of a thread. They should be in the opening post. I am pretty sure that I am not the only one who comes here when ready, and click reply to the thread when ready to post, without having read the entire thread... or will not come back once posted...

The rules stipulate that we should have a back up team/skater in case of withdrawals... so the two (yeah I counted..when you scolded me) people who had them in their top 7 (yeah... I think one of them had them in 5th and the other in 6th) will be fine.

Finally, considering all of the withdrawals we have had lately, especially in pairs, my comment was one of relief... as you know, if another pair team withdrew, one of the ones we expect on the podium, that may have a huge impact on this whole event and the GPF... for once, this withdrawal was not only bearable but for those who follow pairs, expected.

I apologize once more if you feel my comment wasn't appropriate but I wish you also didn't feel it's okay to patronize people who interact with these alerts. As far as I know, saying that I (personally) don't think (not a fact) that it will affect the event much (acknowledging that it could for some but not for many) is in no way impolite nor rude. I appreciate your efforts in keeping everyone informed however it's not necessary to pounce on people who react to the information.

Let's put this one behind. Looking forward to seeing the return of Kavaguti/Smirnoff!
