I just went thru that the other day. I kept having the old ear worm and no matter what I was doing the song kept popping into my head. I tried so hard to figure it out on my own without the internet but eventually I caved and just typed "80's song woah woah woah" into a search engine. This song is so killer.

So do you ever have that song is in your head but you can't remember either the name of the song or the artist?

The chorus of this song got into my head earlier this week. But I couldn't remember anything more than that. Eventually I remember that the song was on a mix-CD my friend made for me. Haven't found the CD, but I did remember she liked to put a lot of VHS or Beta songs in her mixes.

I listened to several VHS or Beta songs before I found the one that was in my head.

So here it is: VHS or Beta, "Heaven" Anyway, very upbeat, catchy chorus and interesting changes in tempo.

I really like that. I'm not familiar with VHS or Beta But I'm going to give them a listen on my next music hunt. I kind of got a "D.A.N.C.E." by Justice vibe to that song.

The song is great. And yeah the "Woah, woah, woah" part is catchy! I  the 80s (yes, cliche).

Yes! Love them. Played that album nonstop in the summer of '07. Also '07 was when I saw The Rapture and Daft Punk live. Such a good summer music-wise.

I go through periods when I'm obsessed with John Grant's music. He's gay, I guess you could call him a confessional singer songwriter. The honesty in his lyrics is just beyond brutal. Adult music for adults, with someone who knows how to SING.

This is one of my favorite songs of his, covered by Sinead O'Connor of all people! The Queen of Denmark. It's NOT for the kiddies or the easily offendedl

Actually, one of his songs is very sweet--literally! It's about an old fashioned ice cream shop in the town where he grew up. I think it would work as a skating piece: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GcRCp4EpVtk

Ori and the Blind Forest OST, recommended to me by a friend. It's just...so heart-achingly beautiful! :drama: :luv17:

Listening to Carles.buzz on Sirius XM radio.

This is the song that came on when I tuned in: Let's Groove - Teen Daze

Love they're from the PNW -- on the Canadian side, near Vancouver. (I consider BC part of the PNW though it's Canada cause it's close and it's so similar to Washington state in many ways).

S. Carey "Fire Scene"

https://youtu.be/TLbVVWkto1k

Sean Carey speaks to my musical soul. I'm a percussionist first and foremost but play most any instrument I can get my hands on. He is the drummer/backup vocals for Indie's growing legend Bon Iver. His music is soothing but extremely complex in it's musical layering and time signatures. I just love sitting outside by a river or some trees and listening to this kind of stuff which is exactly how I'm spending my time today. Off on a trail somewhere between the woods and the water.

I'm in love with the lyrics.....

"on and on......All I want is honesty"

Well, thanks to the short programme music of a certain Ms. Wagner, I got curious about Club des Belugas, as Hip Hip Chin Chin is a frickin excellent tune. I eventually puchased the double CD of their greatest hits and the only disappointment I have is that I wasn't aware of their existence sooner. The smooth latin tinged jazz creates a laid back and very cool vibe and I get the feeling with it that it's the kind of music I'd love to hear in a retro cocktail bar on a chilled night out. I'm normally a metal/rock person but there's something about latin jazz that gets me and this music is going to be with me on probably most car journeys this summer. IT'S AWESOME!!!!

Thank you for the review - going to buy this asap! I'm just like you in that I normally respond best to metal/harder sounds. But I have a soft spot for jazz/bossa nova. It's so unlike anything I normally like it's almost enough to make me believe I was some kind of beatnik/free spirit in a previous life ;)
