Just my wishes, I'm not feeling bold enough to make actual predictions, although I'd like to think all of these are at least a little bit possible:

Men: Nathan, Yuzuru, and Javi on the podium in any order
Ladies: Evgenia for gold. I guess I can't deny that Alina would deserve a medal for her tech content as long as she's clean. Any of Satoko, Kaetlyn, Kaori, Bradie, or Mirai for a medal- I don't have an overwhelming preference, i just want whoever skates well to earn it.
Pairs: Sui/Han for gold, Savchenko/Massot for silver, James/Cipres for bronze
Dance: Any of the American teams on the podium. I'd also pick Papadakis/Cizeron for the win I guess although I don't have super strong feelings about either of the top two teams. I tend to like the lower ranked couples better.

Ladies:
Wish: 1. Sakamoto 2. Osmond 3. Kostner
Most likely: 1. Zagitova 2. Medvedeva 3. Miyahara
(The technical panel ist going to push Miyahara to the Bronze even with some URs!:rolleye: Japan needs a medal.)

Men:
Wish: 1. Fernandez 2. Hanyu 3. Chen
Most likely: 1. Chen 2. Uno 3. Jin
(I am afraid of Hanyu to have a melt down because of the injury:cry:)

Pairs:
Wish: 1. Savchenko/Massot 2. Sui/Han 3. James/Cipres
Most likely: 1. Sui/Han 2. Yu/Zhang 3. Savchenko/Massot
(Bruno will pop a SBS jump:console: and Aljona will be beaten by two Chinese pairs like 2010:drama:. Zhang is so mature. He knows how to compete!)

Dance:
Wish: 1. Virtue /Moir 2.Papdakis/Cizeron 3. Stepanove/Bukin:hpull: (3. Shibutanis)
Most likely: 1. Papdakis/Cizeron 2. Virtue/Moir 3. Hubbell/Donohue
(V/M´s SP is out of this world. To me they should win only because of this program!:dance2:)

Spirals, I thought I was the only one on the board who really liked the Russian men. How about that! You are forgiven for not being FOHDB.

Of course, you know those Russians are going to let us down, don't you?

Haha, the men might but the ladies... no way, ever...
but... what does FOHDB mean??

This one is pretty straightforward.

Reality: 1.S/H 2. T/M 3. S/M (since Aliona is destined for the bronze, urgh)

LOL, guys. IIRC, you're the most devoted Aliona's fans in GS, so please don't resign yourself to that supposed destiny yet! Let's just hope that Aliona breaks the repeated bad luck and finally gets her gold at Pyeongchang.

WELL...

Dance: I am just so ready for Gabby & Guillaume to get an OGM. It would be nice to see the Shibs medal, too, but mostly I just can't wait to see Moonlight Sonata break some records.
Dream podium: G - Papadakis & Cizeron S - Shibs (a girl can dream) B - Virtue & Moir

Pairs: In one word: Aljona. My queen has waited for her crown for too long (5th time's the charm?). I hope she pulls off an amazing program and finally gets the gold medal her heart desires! Seeing Vanessa & Morgan on the podium would be like icing on the cake but as long as Aljona & Bruno can pull of the winning performance, I'll be one happy fan.
Dream: G - Aljona & Bruno!!! S - Sui & Han B - James & Cipres

Ladies: I'd like to see Evgenia on top. I think she's worked so hard to be the skater she is today and I'd hate to see her lose the gold (though I don't think that will happen). The two girls I wanted to see make the podium the most aren't even here (Wakaba & Ashley)! So, my dream would have Gabby on the podium as well. Maybe she'll pull the quad toe out for the games and surprise us all? She just fought through a fever to win nationals, so you can't doubt her strength. Satoko's lovely skating deserves a medal, too! Also, I don't think she has a shot at a medal, but I hope Mirai nails her triple axels.
Dream: G - Evgenia S - Gabby B - Satoko/Mirai/Carolina

Men: Six way tie for gold? I'm just kidding. As long as Nathan & Javi get medals I'll be satisfied. I don't really have an ideal podium, because predicting men's figure skating is a sure fire way to get a headache. I'm kind of hoping that Nathan doesn't get gold only because I want him to stick around for another few years. You can dominate in 2022, Nathan, don't leave yet! I also would really love if Dima snuck his way into the final warm up group, even challenged for a medal, though that dream is a bit wild.
Dream: Nathan/Javier/Shoma/Boyang/Patrick/Dmitri tie for gold?

Want:

Men: Top six with medals, pls. God knows they all deserve it! If not... Boyang, Shoma, & Javier with medals. Nathan, Patrick & the Russian men will likely pick up one in the team event, and Yuzuru already has his gold. Only way to guarantee medals for everyone!

Ladies: Evgenia for gold. Even though she's not my favorite, I admire the work that she's been able to produce the last two years. Silver for Satoko and either Caro or Mirai for bronze. But any of these four in any order would make me happy.

Paris: S/H gold. Everyone's saying that they'll have Beijing, but with the number of injuries that she's already had... IDK. S/M with silver and J/C with bronze.

Dance: V/M gold, P/C silver, Shibs bronze. This is the discipline I'm least invested in though so whatever happens, happens.

Team Event: Canada, OAR, USA (if Mirai is on the team) or Japan (if Mirai is not on the team)

Realistic:

Men: Shoma, Nathan, Boyang.

Ladies: Alina, Evgenia, Kaetlyn.

Pairs: S/M, S/H, T/M.

Dance: P/C, V/M, H/D.

Team Event: Canada, OAR, USA.

Well, as things stand at the moment (and I hope there is a last minute change of minds in Switzerland), my list looks as follows:

Men:
Wish: 1. Fernandez 2. Kolyada 3. Aliev
More realistic: 1. Fernandez 2. Chen 3. Hanyu or Uno

Ladies:
Wish: 1. Medvedeva 2. Zagitova 3. Sotskova
More realistic: 1. Medvedeva 2. Zagitova 3. Osmond

Pairs:
Wish: 1. Tarasova/Morozov 2. Zabiiako/Enbert 3. James/Cipres
More realistic: 1. Sui/Han 2. Savchenko/Massot 3. Tarasova/Morozov

Dance:
Wish: 1. Bobrova/Soloviev 2. Weaver/Poje 3. Gilles/Poirier
More realistic: 1. Virtue/Moir 2. Papadakis/Cizeron 3. Hubbell/Donohue

Team (I still think this event should be competed last, not first. It would be more fun for skaters and the audience as the stress and fear of injury is gone and performances are even enhanced by medal winners)
Wish: 1. OAR 2. Canada 3. USA
More realistic: 1. USA 2. OAR 3. Canada

Hey, you don't even have Shoma in your 'wish' podium, at least Aliona and Bruno win in mine! :dev2:

Reality is harsh.

Well, I put Shoma in my wish#2 and in my realistic prediction as well, ;) you don't believe my affection for him? Though I haven't put the cute prince in my wish#1 which is really far from reality.
