Last night, while listening to Typhoon Jebi pass by, I did some speed sketches of Yuzu from his media day.
--I hope all our other Japan-based members are safe.

I pray everyone is safe.
Based on the news, casuality on lives is low but infrastructures are really damaged.
I have an affinity for Kansai Airport, its such a beautiful piece of engineering. Hopefully things will be quicker to restore.

Kozuki Zaidan (Kozuki foundation) are supporting many athletes and every year they award some of them who did well in WC or Olympics etc. It seems this is the 4th time for Yuzuru to be listed, and the award ceremony is today (Sep.5) so I don't think he can participate (unless he is in Japan ). But congratulations, Yuzuru!

This is not new but I watched this TV program some time ago. Suguri was a guest and they were talking about how she was M. And also she was kind of lamented that she felt awkward competing with much younger skaters in the last few years and Yuzuru was the only skater who was friendly to her. Then one of the hosts said Hanyu kun looks S and she agreed.

As I said it before a couple of times: Olympic Channel will NOT let Yuzu retire.
He's their No. 1 poster athlete now and the XXL OC YUZURU HANYU RETWEET MARATHON cannot end. Yet.

Hope so too; Javi really does have the patience of a saint, I think he knows that what surrounds Yuzu is phenomenal and is going to keep being brought up as long as Yuzu keeps phenomening but can you imagine if someone less sweet-natured was in that position... he and Yuzu both dominated the last quad, after all.

He could also give a masterclass in how to give his comments just the right mixture of affection and non-invasive tact, respecting Yuzu's privacy as he always has (I love Javi) and gently head off that 3rd OGM talk...

They probably are... again, it's the phenom bit and the fact that Yuzuru would probably still be the biggest drawcard they would have in 2022, simply by the fact that he would be going for the hat trick. If I was a journalist - sure, I'd be sneaky enough to try for a reaction from those who he beat this time re "what if he does it again next time?" Not that Javi (or for that matter Nathan or the rest) is likely to fall for it...
