Sure but unless they changed provinces they should be on the challenge list for ontario. Maybe they are not sure to get a bye yet ?

There was someone here who didn't like and get her costume as well. I remember breaking it down for them but they still hated Tessa & Scott. Pity.

Meagan & Eric are in Miami: https://www.instagram.com/p/BXygMDzh7Ip/
And they're cruising around in style: https://www.instagram.com/p/BXyO3yPA-86/
Before leaving Meagan posted a congratulatory photo of the senior pairs podium from Championnats https://www.instagram.com/p/BXvjSxkBOXj/
Meanwhile Kaetlyn is in Kelowna getting some practice in before BC/YK Summerskate: https://www.instagram.com/p/BXwFIs_h7xn/

FS gossips has provided her own, sometimes biting, review of the Championnats....with helpful links to many videos...

Great that it's getting blog coverage...

FS Gossip is more about style than substance. Hard at times take their blog as being serious, unless one is interested in chatting about who wore beige best, and that controversial topic, strips versus pokka dots.

Uhm, I'd say that for figure skating both style and substance have their place. ;)

After all...wasn't it me who complained that Canadian women weren't getting sufficient recognition in our fashion magazines...

I don't always agree with the blogger, but I do appreciate FS Gossips round up of instagrams [posted by LRK to the Skating World Fluff thread....] And the blogger is quite helpful in scanning Russian media and providing interview translations.

i went and read more...

i will agree with this :

it's convenient that the videos/photos are included with easy access through her posts.
what i dislike the most : so many language mistakes... i know I make many myself in my posts and like the blog writer, I am ESL... but when one has a blog, they should be more careful...

so yeah... style (and i disagree with most of her style comments so that doesn't help) and typos.... but anyways, you are correct, publicity good or bad, is always good and it's nice to see that this blogger thought CQE would be a good competition to watch and comment about. I guess that Alaine with her success in Russia, and D/R being a big threat for Russian pairs brought the necessary interest.

I hope you didn't take it personally that some of us didn't like her blog.... actually, that's one way bloggers work compared to journalists : some give a very subjective and personal opinion... and with a name like FS Gossips, I would say that the blogger is doing what she's promised to do... I shouldn't have reacted as strongly... but I was such in disagreement with almost everything she wrote.... lol... i was like... is there someone on the planet born to say everything opposite to what i say? I guess there is ;)

No offence on my side at all...

Uhm, but the way I see it, if someone who disagrees with just about everything that I [or you] might think about the performances CQE.....

BUT still thinks that it's worth watching and reporting on, it means that broader global fan awareness of and interest in Canadian skating is growing.....

And that, in my view, needs to be brought to this thread...;)

I think Canadian skaters in general have good fashion style on ice. The ladies have looked quite classy. I couldn't say that about the Russian though. But it's my taste and I am no fashion blogger.

^^ Thanks for your input TGee, perhaps I should read past the weeds a bit more. :)

Oops, I missed that the blogger has done an earlier analysis of your favourite Nfld girl's new programs...

http://fs-gossips.com/kaetlyn-osmond-programs-2017-2018-review/

I like that the blogger is really clear that she knows that polish will come. Some insightful comments in my view.

And want to note that it says something positive about how expectations are changing about our Canadian women that Kaetlyn's programs are getting an early assessment...
