Well seeing Akiko aka One of the Skaters Who Radiates the Most Joy When She's On win her first nationals is a piece of very good news.

Can't wait for the Youtube post. :)

That is true, but one can't help but have some concern. Although unlikely, Mao could finish off the podium with a skate like this. I am predicting she will get the bronze.

THIS. Mao did win anything except 4cc before her last olympics and managed to land 3 triple axels. Not winning her 7th national title is not the end if the world. Really. Akiko deserves this win

I just wish Mao would settle for a layout she's comfortable in executing to the best of her abilities. As a fan I don't like all this doubt about "2 3-As or 1 3A and 1 3Lz" etc...

Fantastic win for Akiko though, her smile is beautiful.

I've jiust watched Miki's performance on TV.

I've never been a big fan of her, but I tell you all, she is more than beautifiul today.
