Sam, if I'm not mistaken, you're looking for specific moments from the GP series, and not necessarily favorite programs, right? To put together a kind of clip series like the Eurosport channels do between events? Just checking. Because if that's the case, it might help trigger my memory to go back and reread the event threads.

I'm just curious to read what people's favorite moments were. Sure I'd like to make video but people can name their favorite programs too if they like. I missed a lot of this year's GP so it's helping me to find things that maybe I missed too.

I loved the combos- the way they were like skipping stones across a pool.

Some highlights (for me):
- James/Cipres (LP)final lift, the way they finish it with a lunge
- Iliushechkina/Moscovitch (SP) cantilever entry into the spiral; I think in the slo mo later in the video it's even more noticeable
- Tarasova/Morozov over the moon twist
- Sui/Han SP Stsq (from this point 'til the end)
- Gilles/Poirier (FD) stationary lift
- Nazarova/Nikitin (FD) lift
- Hicks (SP & LP)spin variation
- Sotnikova: this coreographic part at the beginning of her SP
- Medvedeva Cohenesque move
- Osmond: these 10secs of choreo bits after the combination
- Chen SP spiral
- Dolensky's and MCM's spins
- This & this (ok maybe also 20 secs of the preceding steps) from Rippon, oh and his layback spin (SP)
- Boyang 4Lz+3T ça va sans dire; the "jump" he does in the Chsq
- Shoma: in his case even little details are noteworthy
- EVERYTHING Hanyu has done this weekend, but maybe I'd mention the new arm variations on the sit spin? :luv17:

For the most part, NHK was underwhelming yeah, but there were some good performances in there.

Normally I dislike them, but I loved the fist pump after Hanyu's 3Z in his LP at NHK.

Satoko's SP was lovely. But that was a very scrappy ladies' event. I'm quite happy for Hicks though, getting a Grand Prix silver after being in the shadow of the top US ladies. Must give her a lot of confidence to beat both Asada and Wagner.

Not just "on the ice" things:

- Javier's Flamenco step sequence at CoC. That program is already The Program of the season on my book.
- Elena's gutsy performances at CoR. I wanted to hug her and cry with her!
- Shibutani's short dance. Never liked them, but this year they have the perfect programs. Get that National title, please.
- James/Cipres' sp at TEB
- Anna and Luca's sd at CoC.
- Brian Orser sitting next to talents while they make history, AGAIN!
- Aliona and Bruno meaning business. Those twists are to die for! They're coming for some wigs.
- Nikita Katsalapov, Luca Lanotte, Andrei Deputat, Ondrej Hotarek,... I mean, you should also please the eye, right?
- Tarasova's calls on Kovtun's jumps
- Mirai's both performance at NHK. She looked amazing and finally into the programs!
- Sui Wenjing new haircut. Love the way she rocks that bob!

My Favorite GP moments have always come from discovering a skater I knew nothing about. Last season, Misha Ge gave me the shock of my life when he skated his Free Program at Worlds. I had zero knowledge of his skating and just loved every moment of his programs at Worlds. This year.....It's hard to say. I love Gracie and I'm happy to see her skate well earlier than she usually does and I truly think she would have taken the gold at TEB.

I like Grant Hochstein and before this competition I had never seen or heard of him. You know who he reminds me of....Armin Mahbanoozadeh. Have you guys ever seen him in person? He's little. I don't remember but, I think he was with Johnny Weir's old coach who is not very tall and she towered over him. Does anyone know what he's up to these days. Wasn't he an exceptional pianist? Maybe he's in an orchestra somewhere.

Well, that was slight exageration ofc... But dunno, compared to other GPs, NHK was not very exciting.

I completely forgot about Evgenia Medvedeva. I'm very excited to see how this year and more importantly, the next couple of years go for this lovely young lady. She has a ton of promise and I hope she can stay focused and injury free for the rest of the year and get herself into the top 6 at Worlds.
