Official entries list published on December 27th

37 men, 41 ladies, 17 pairs and 31 ice dance teams.
In ice dance, as purplebabe thought it, azeris Galyeta/Brown and latvian Jakushina/Nevskiy seem to have retired. The same for Tobias/Tkachenko, so Israel will only use one of two spots.
Some surprises in pairs list. No belarussian Danilova/Kamianchuk, which didn't compete since Nebelhorn. Retirement too? The same for hungarian Beklemiscseva/Magyar (their result at Nebelhorn was low). No news from lithuanian Butkute/Ermolaev. But croatian Petranovic/Souza-Kordyeru seems to be back together, they didn't compete this season but reached the TES last one.
For the ladies, Julia Sauter is on the list, Valentina Matos too (with Sonia Lafuente as substitute! I thought she retired). For Lithuania, Greta Morkyte will go there instead of Elzbieta Kropa.

Kozmava/Shumski (GEO) reached TES last season but seems to have split

Are you sure that the LAT and AZE dance teams are still competing? They haven't competed since Nebelhorn, which leads one to believe that since they didn't qualify for the Olympics, they retired? Also, how about Tobias/Tkachenko? They haven't competed at all this whole season and he didn't get citizenship, so are they retired?

I have no information about a possible split/retirement of these 3 teams. Maybe they are just injured? For the latvians and azeris, they probably knew that they wouldn't qualify for OG. The azeris live and train in USA, it can explain too why we don't see them often in Senior B's which are always held in Europe?
Latvia has a 2nd dance team, Ippolito/Jones, which could go instead of Jakushina/Nevksiy. The 2nd azeri team, Ogloblina/Zhirnov, has split.

Tobias/Tkachenko were reported injured at the begin of the season. Maybe they are still injured, or maybe they have split after the dissapointment for Ilia's citizenship...

Katsalapov is injured with a recovery time of 2 to 12 weeks. An assignment is out of the question.

Nathalie Weinzierl (GER) was 2nd on Nationals. Why is she out?

There's a German news thread on FSU https://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/threads/german-skating-news-2017-2018.101951/page-14
Per one of the German posters, there was a series of events the German ladies had to do to accumulate points with the best 3 counting. Weinzierl only did 2 events and so she was behind Dastich in the race. So Dastich got Euros.

Then there is this Instagram post from Weinzierl saying the same thing. She failed to qualify for Euros because she was injured and could not do enough qualifying competitions to get a Euros spot https://www.instagram.com/p/Bcz2ufmAH-d/?hl=de&taken-by=nathalie_8_4

Azerbaijan Federation is not very fair to send Cheremsky instead of Flood cause actually (last results) Morgan is more better than Kim so it’s so bad ...
Cheremsky haven’t the FS Tes for Junior but little more time for obtain it but i expected Flood be sent at Junior World if Cheremsky obtain the score to be fair !!!!
