Hi guys, I have a question. I don't understand these group1, part of group 1, ... in the schedule:

1/21/2017 11:00am Senior Pairs Free Skate (Group 1)
1/21/2017 12:08pm Senior Free Dance (Group 1)
1/21/2017 7:30pm Senior Ladies Free Skate (Part of Group 1)
1/22/2017 2:00pm Senior Men's Free Skate (Groups 1 & 2)

Does it mean that icenetwork is not going to broadcast the whole free events?

Yes, that is true.

NBC owns the right to live coverage of the last two groups in each discipline.

Unfortunately, they will probably show only part or none of the next-to-last groups while their live broadcast is welcoming viewers, setting up the medal battle, maybe recapping short programs or other disciplines, etc. So there may be 3-6 performances in each discipline who can't be seen at all by those of us at home until the complete on-demand videos are posted on IceNetwork during the following week.

And the performances that NBC does broadcast will only be available on NBC until those on-demand videos get posted.

Random ?: Has anyone here successfully used Sling TV to stream NBC Nationals/figure skating broadcasts before? Or does it tend to get blacked out like other sports programs sometimes are?

Thank you very much for the explanation. I didn't know that when I purchased the subscription some months ago, I mean I don't remember they had mentioned it in their website. I'm so disappointed, I was really looking forward for this weekend. I have gone to work last two weekends just to be able to watch the whole competition without feeling guilty that I have not worked hard enough and now this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are they doing a preview show this year? Loved them.

I managed to find streams for NBC, and NBCSN. But sadly, no universal hd (so no live men's SP for me)

I absolutely hate that NBC is putting so much of the skating on NBCSN now--I'm not going to pay for cable just for that. :disapp:

What is the Skate Radio that IceNetwork's viewer guide mentions? Is that just for people attending the competition (I know attendees receive little radios so they can hear commentary as they watch the event) or is the Skate Radio audio commentary also livestreamed online somewhere? Does anyone know?

Thanks for the information. Is that audio stream available live even for for the next-to-last group (when neither IN nor NBC is broadcasting the video of the programs)?

I'm sure it is and I'm looking forward to it :)

Here is Icenetwork’s information on their live coverage.

Skate Radio:

When NBC is on the air, icenetwork will provide live technical analysis via Skate Radio presented by Prudential. This audio stream will feature the following experts breaking down the performances from a technical perspective:
• Jimmie Santee, executive director of the Professional Skaters Association

• Charlie Cyr, former international judge who now serves as sports director for figure skating at the International Skating Union

• Nancy Ruedebusch, former Olympic-level coach and current technical specialist for singles and pairs

• Dana Graham, technical specialist and technical controller for singles and pairs

• Julia Rey, ISU technical specialist for ice dance

• Scott Wendland, national and international technical specialist for singles and pairs

• Heidi Thibert, coaching development director of the Professional Skaters Association (researcher)

Does anybody know if Icenetwork has recently made changes to their website? When I have tried to watch the events this week on my Mac, I have received the error "You can not play this media on the current browser / platform." I've never received this error before and used this laptop to watch events from the Grand Prix series.

Have you emptied your cache?

I use a MacBook Air and have been able to watch.

Looks like that is correct. I have edited it and put the link to the usfsa.org schedule.
