I have a question about the the music cut in Mao's program.

I'm not familiar with the opera nor do I understand Italian... and this question is for those who know the opera/lyrics: there is a rather obvious music edit during the second half of the program (the song "un bel di vedremo"), in the middle of her layback spin, in order to jump ahead to the last line of the verse and get to the climactic section where she does the step sequence. Do the lyrics make sense (maintain continuity) in terms of how they are joined together, before and after the edit point? It would really bother me if the flow and logic of words are compromised to accommodate the time constraint and choreography (imagine if it's English lyrics, and if the lyrics are awkwardly pieced together :)).
