but tbh that's kind of low score for mao if she really was clean with the rest of the elements lol

Huh? She completely missed 3F-3L (that's around 8 points lost right there) and fell on her 3A (another 4-5 points, depending whether it was rotated or not). Plus, we donțt know if there were any other URs.

Isn't Wakaba too young to go to Worlds? So Ladies 1, 3 and 4 get to go instead?
Wakaba is going to Junior World only. So the World team should be Satoko, Mao and either Rika or Kanako (plz let it be Rika her season was far better so far)

Looks like Kanako won't place above. Seems she fell On the 3F and singled her axel. Likely top 3 will stay and Miyahara, Asada, and Hongo will be on the world team.

Well, we don't know her max score as she never skated clean without any edge calls or UR(s). In her last competition she got full credit for the lutz (not even "!") and she got credit for a full 3F-3L this season, so her theoretically max score is without any e, ! or <. I suspect she would go over 150 easily if the goes completely clean

I meant theoretically POSSIBLE max score based on what we've seen of her jump technique this season. Also, her theoretically max scores in absolute terms based on layout has been calculated in The Edge.

Poor Mao, fell down while waiting for her American lover to come back to the house on a hill in Nagasaki.

:laugh2:

Better to fall down than face the fate of Butterfly in the opera. :agree:

Looking forward to seeing this program in person in Boston. :)

I'm very happy about Rika making the team, but very sad about her missing the podium. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy that Mao is slowly making her comeback, but I feel that Rika deserved it more :(

It is POSSIBLE since she got credit for each element she tries in the LP this season (but in different competitions). Likely? No. Possible? Yes.

3Lz - done with full credit at GPF
2A-3T done more than once

Same. I wanted Mao on the podium, but not to Rika's fall. I'm both happy and sad, but also relieved that Rika will go to World. Kanako will probably be sent to 4CC, that would be a good move.

Does Japanese Fed choose the skaters for Worlds or 4CC in the position they finish? Like USFS?
