As for 2010 Romantica Tango, I also loved Domnina and Shabalin's rendition, in terms of interpretation and general impression it was definitely my favourite CD of Vancouver Olympics.

Apparently tango liked D/S :p and what I find one of my favorite gala programs ever was this:

You beat me to D/S's Romantica Tango, which for the record beat both Marlie and Voir in Vancover. Why? Because it was simply better.

LOL V/M CD is so good that people are rewatching 8 years later, causing IOC to rediscover the video and block it . Anyway, updated OP to have a working link.

Thanks to those who answered in regards to the pair tango programs. I knew they existed but somehow they slipped my mind.

Now I'm excited to see what they do next season with the SD (assuming they will continue). Was this a chair death spiral I saw?

Yah.. Spiral was what they were going for, I'm sure!! That chair traveled the world with them this year and had it's own fan club!! They are my favorite dance team actually and I am looking forward to their SD next season!
When they first performed this EX at an ice show prior to this season's beginning it was a delight to hear the little kids in the audience giggle when Madison dug the heels of her skates in the ice as she moved toward Evan...so funny!! They also did a knock out Paso Doble a couple of years ago which I posted in their FF recently but won't post here because it is not a tango...

Davis/White - Tango from 2011 Worlds FD - that sensuality and sublime passion...one of my favorite programs in İD.

Yuna Kim - Adios Nonino, Olympics 2014 LP - it was Yuna in her very best, with all that beauty and elegance in her skating, adding maturity and sharpness of Tango...masterpiece!

This is something that rarely who knows, but I so love it. The exhibition version of Lambiel's intended FS for the 2008/2009 season and also FS in his first competitions of the 2009/2010 season (choreographed by Najarro) - https://youtu.be/oLFduMoDT90.

It has so much more choreographic detail than the competitive version. Another performance of it (because I just didn't know which performance and video is better) - https://youtu.be/zdtqhFl7CVE.

I realize, though, that some people here may find the costume too much :).

Boy, was it ever hard to find good quality videos. Pick your poison - messed up aspect ratio, crackling audio, TV screen recorded with a smartphone, commentators screaming in your ear and/or completely muted audience... It's odd, I remember there being good videos of all the performances I mentioned :(
I guess that's because old YouTube videos are automatically deleted after a certain number of years. After all, even their storage space is not infinite. So it's best when people who have the best/favorite TV videos stored somewhere, take it upon themselves to reupload those videos to YouTube after some time. I am sure no one minds, unless it's a fan video or a protected video.

Okay, so there are a few posters that expressed that they had enough of tangos....perhaps these "non-traditional" tangos will change your minds :):

Mikhail Kolyada - Nightingale Tango: Love this quirky style from Mikhail (also the colourful costume choice). On other note, after looking at his Wikipedia page, there is at least one tango piece listed in for his SP music in 4 of the 5 seasons. He must really love his tangos or his coach must think tangos really suit him!

Testa/Csolley - The Addams Family: My favourite program of theirs (their partnership seemed too short). The tango is just a section of this program but adds nicely to the overall AF theme.

Cappelini/Lanotte - Tango Lesson: Saw this live and they didn't disappoint. Luca showing Anna (and the audience) how to do compulsories ;)

Keeping with the Domnina & Shabalin love, I first noticed them at the 2007 Worlds and noted to self: "Man, are they gonna be World Champions one day!"
Well, I didn't have to wait too long.

My all time favourite tango goes to Krylova & Ovsyanikov's OD from 1996/97. The ending pose is everything!

Lovely! I was reading that Anjelika has returned to Russia to coach and seeing this makes me excited to see what she can do with the Russian teams.

Vaguely remember Pakhomova/Gorshkov tango from one of the 70s either Worlds or Olympics competition. I remember it used to be fantastic, but I haven't watched it since then. Plus, the standards have changed...

Okay, I'm going to give a shout out to some lovely tangos done by the Canadian women:

Kaetlyn Osmond - Danzarin, Oblivion, Tanguera: I thought this program had a lot of potential and am glad we saw a great performance from her at that season's Four Continents. Love the choreography and interpretation, especially in the Tanguera section.

Shae-Lynn Bourne - La Cumparsita: Love that she holds her own and captivates the audience with the clever use of props to express the character of the dance.

Joannie Rochette - La Cumparsita: This performance has brought tears to my eyes several times. Considering the circumstances, she still delivered the performance of her life, showing great character and perseverance. Choreographed by Shae-Lynn Bourne, Joannie shows great musicality and use of the arms in the both the spiral and step sequences.

I love tangos!

Plushy's Tango Amore! I also love the costume - I once saw it on a worst-dressed figure skater list and was so offended :laugh2:

Also love his Tango Roxanne especially at Sochi, what a boss.

Me too. The crowd went crazy for it when he skated on some shows.... for that "bad" ;) program..

When he danced on the floor..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=is1uvqbURrE

I like this version https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZAbMMxawoc - you can't take your eyes off him

and I like his Tango and Flamenco's SP - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGanRnHVNIs

I really liked Eric Millo's Tango in 1995!

I have many favorites!!!!!
