I would assume that they are going to have LIVE coverage for all the Frees, as that is what they have done in previous seasons.

Dance has got a bad deal in Japan AGAIN! Just because it's not their discipline, they never schedule it at a good time. It's the same every year at NHK, only the diehard Ice Dance group of fans in Japan will be waving their flags. The rest will concentrate on Men's & Ladies.

I am in shock - is it really happening- everything Live for both men & ladies on BESP? (I am not too invested in pairs and not at all in ice dance so it could not be any better for me)

However it creates another problem there will be about 25 hours of FS in a space of 5 days, 5 hours a day - which means something has to give - sleep? work? hmm
I'd love to call in sick but sadly can't afford it - sleep it is!

No reason to panic. I've checked the schedule of today, there are like 10 alternate channels listed for events that are on today. For next week it's just Eurosport 1 and 2 listed, nothing else. So I guess, the additional channels just appear on the player that day.

I'm not so sure just yet. On the UK Player there are some livestreams for other events for next week but no skating as yet.

I've had a quick look at Caroliza_Fan's post for last years World Champs and everything was on the Player.

Also I note that the EurovisionSports website doesn't mention the World Champs at all, presumably they're not going to livestream it, which is probably why there's no videos on there for the last 2 years.

Perhaps Eurosport will be using the host broadcasters feed as opposed to the Eurovision one which they normally use (I would imagine). Time to keep our nerve, but it would be gutting if you couldn't e.g. get the full Pairs SP when everything else looks so good.

Yes I saw those, guess I should've specified, I meant the (ISU) livestreams, not the E1 or E2 feed. Those are just some SP and free skates, and with commentary. I'm kinda hoping for everything, and without commentary. I can only get that with the streams. If I can avoid it, I don't watch E1 or E2 except if I want to check out the commentary for a specific skater. Haven't even done that this season...

On the UK Player there are some livestreams for other events for next week but no skating as yet.
I've had a quick look at Caroliza_Fan's post for last years World Champs and everything was on the Player.

Well, I now do seem to remember a similar case sometime in the past when the stream only showed up like just before the start of the event, but Caroliza_fan can probably confirm the details.

Anyway, no panicking yet, but, yeah, gimme livestreams!

2019 Senior World Championships

Apologies that this is a bit late notice, but the past week has been very busy trying to get things out of the way before the start of Senior Worlds.

Erm, I don’t know what’s going on, but there are NO ADDITIONAL FIGURE SKATING STREAMS WHATSOEVER on the British Eurosport Player at the moment. There are only the broadcasts on the linear channels listed.

I’m going to have my dinner now, and I’ll do the rest of the versions this afternoon. Hopefully the additional streams will have appeared by then.

No reason to panic. I've checked the schedule of today, there are like 10 alternate channels listed for events that are on today. For next week it's just Eurosport 1 and 2 listed, nothing else. So I guess, the additional channels just appear on the player that day.

I'm not so sure just yet. On the UK Player there are some livestreams for other events for next week but no skating as yet.

I've had a quick look at Caroliza_Fan's post for last years World Champs and everything was on the Player.

Also I note that the EurovisionSports website doesn't mention the World Champs at all, presumably they're not going to livestream it, which is probably why there's no videos on there for the last 2 years.

Perhaps Eurosport will be using the host broadcasters feed as opposed to the Eurovision one which they normally use (I would imagine). Time to keep our nerve, but it would be gutting if you couldn't e.g. get the full Pairs SP when everything else looks so good.

Well, I now do seem to remember a similar case sometime in the past when the stream only showed up like just before the start of the event, but Caroliza_fan can probably confirm the details.

Anyway, no panicking yet, but, yeah, gimme livestreams!

Yes, there were a few times in the past that the additional streams were not advertised in advance, but then just appeared as the event was starting.

But, I just had a horrible thought.

During the World Championships for the Alpine Skiing, Nordic Skiing and Biathlon over the past couple of months, there were no World Feed streams available on the Eurosport Player. Instead, we had to make do with the coverage on the linear channels. And it was driving me mad because a lot of the time they were showing us studio discussions instead of what was happening!

With the Nordic and the Biathlon, it was not too intrusive. They would come on air half an hour before the competition started, and then join the World Feed pictures at the time they normally do anyway. The main difference to normal was at the end, as they would go to the studio straight after the results were confirmed, and then return to the World Feed pictures (and the commentary) for the podium ceremony, before going off air.

HOWEVER, the TV coverage was awful for the Alpine Worlds. As soon as the first 30 were down, they would leave and go to the studio, where presenter Isabel Boltenstern and expert Bodie Millar would talk for 15 minutes or so, before going off air. All this while the competition was still going on behind them! That said, the BBC were leaving the coverage early too, but they waited until immediately after the last British skier came down.

So, I hope they are not planning on doing something similar for the Figure Skating Worlds. Because with there being no coverage on the linear channels overnight, we need the World feed streams.

And I do find it concerning that there is no countdown happening on the ISU Figure Skating channel on Eurovision Sports. Because if there is no coverage on there, we are rightly goosed!

Guys, just letting you know that I'm doing the ESP España listings at the moment, and when I clicked onto Saturday, the additional streams suddenly appeared!!!

I've gone back through the previous days, and they are there for all of the overnight competitions!!!



Unfortuantely, there are no World Feed streams for the things that start after 06:00 GMT, apart from the Gala. :disapp:

So, I'll now go back through the countries I've already done to see if the additional streams are there too, and if so I'll edit them into my post.

Yes, it looks as if people in countries where there's no broadcaster showing the Championships at all, in any shape or form, are completely stuffed. There's going to be no livestream from Eurovision Sports, videos are not going to be available on Youtube as per the thread re this, plus videos won't be available on Eurovision Sports afterwards for anyone because there won't be the livestream - this looks to be exactly like the last 2 World Championships where there's nothing from them on there. Plus of course there's very little on Youtube, especially for the last one.

Re the European day time streams let's hope they appear - the live programmes are great, but they won't have every single skater in the Men's and Ladies' SPs. However there's time yet, plus in the adverts today for the Ladies' SP they say it's going to be on The Player, so it must be true!

No, not beggars! We pay for the service. I asked recently why there's an advert on the streams On Demand at the start everytime I watch when we already pay a subscription, and was told it 'helps them provide a wide range of sports for viewers'.

But I am now a happy bunny that the Player (presumably No comms) RD & FD are listed.

Just wondering if anyone has a definitive schedule for NBC coverage of Worlds. I see the above schedule, but if you click on NBCSN web site, the times are all different (which does happen A LOT). Also, can it be correct that they will not show Pairs Short or Dance Long????

Yeah, the NBCSN/NBC schedule does not include Pairs Short or Free Dance - grrrr! Also no gala listed - last year we had great coverage...this year since the NBC Sports Gold has been added our tv coverage seems to suffer
