Wow, he's such a great model and I'm so happy his potential is being properly recognised in this field as well. And otoh, ain't this great when each day brings some new info on some new and awesome development? :love:

I love the fact that he is front and centre on an edition about creativity awards! Yet more proof that Yuzu is very, very special.

Can I just say that goven all the people who carped and complained about Yuzu's costumes for years, the fact that he is now a Gucci Brand Ambassador, has appeared on ELLE and now will on GQ, and has been voted 'fashionista' with a 'elegant and classy styling'... it's totally deserved but also slightly surreal!


ps = also, the fact that Gucci is trending under winter sports as well as fashion!

Yuzuru Hanyu highly admires singer, composer, actor, presenter Gen Hoshino, and revealed that it was to try to attract his attention when he was a teenager, that he had danced this Koi Dance composed by Gen Hoshino, while everybody was thinking that it was because of Yui Aragaki, acting as the main character in the series (when Nobunari Oda had asked him what type of woman he preferred, he had mentioned her).
It's probably Gen Hoshino who told Yuzuru Hanyu about the Keith Jarrett version of Danny Boy.

It was revealed that the video GQ did post of Yuzu was first intended as a puzzle for the public to guess who is going to grace their next cover, That's why it never showed his face at a close up - it was either cut, or visible from a distance only (that's the vid, they showed some stills later today where he was perfectly visible). Apparently this has not fooled anyone and the pubic quickly recognized Yuzuru :)
I guess the next vid they announced to be published in a couple of days is going to be the proper one, with his face no longer hidden :)

Unlike Gucci's brilliant idea of a voice record of Yuzuru Hanyu for each visitor, this technique to attract potential customers can hardly duplicate in many stores, but still, it's quite appreciable, and comes just after the behind-the-scenes video showing the photo shoot with this suit.

Speaking of SEKKISEI campaigns, but also of the coincidence of Yuzuru Hanyu and Gen Hoshino on two covers of a same issue of GQ, this fan draw a parallel, Yui Aragaki being both SEKKISEI ambassador like Yuzuru Hanyu, and Gen Hoshino's wife:
