Also the weather at Kitzbuhel. The Men's downhill has been run today, as bad weather is forecast for tomorrow, and they're going to have the slalom then which can run in much worse conditions. Also no sign of the Men's LP being shown anywhere live, but it may just be worth checking in the morning to see what's going on, you never know you might just get some bonus coverage on the TV.
Just an update with what's going on with the ski sports.
Since Eurosport aren't showing any LIVE coverage of the Men's FS on their linear channels, and since I will be heading out during the competition, I decided not to watch any of it LIVE. Instead, I thought it would be a more economical use of the time to continue watching the Ski Jumping and then watch the Women's Downhill, and piece together the Men's FS when the highlights get shown.
It was decided yesterday that the Women's Downhill in Garmisch would be shortened to a Super-G. But, when it came on Matt Chilton told us that it has been delayed by half an hour because the weather is so bad. And he has doubts as to whether the race will go ahead at all.
So Eurosport are now showing "as-LIVE" coverage of the Men's Slalom from Kitzbuhel (the ski jumping was still on when it started). They are planning on showing the Second Run LIVE at 11:20 GMT (12:20 CET), but who knows what they will show in between.
If the Women's Super-G doesn't happen, I suspect they may show highlights of what I am now watching LIVE - the ski jumping round of the Nordic Combined competition in Trondheim. But, I don't know.
Come to think of it, I might be better off watching something else now just in case they do put the Nordies on the TV later. Because I prefer watching with commentary (even if it does mean piecing things together).
I haven't seen the post-competition stuff from yesterday's Ladies FS (such as the podium), so I might just put that on once the jumping starts (there is a bit of a delay to the start due to the wind).
Anyway, what I am trying to say is, whatever happens, I don't think the Men's FS will get a look in. There are too many ski sports happening.
UPDATE (09:45 GMT): Women's Super-G now delayed for a further hour, so won't start until at least 10:30 GMT (11:30 CET). Jumping in Trondheim just started, so I'm going to put on the post-competition stuff from the Ladies FS now. Hopefully by the time it is over we'll know what is happening on Eurosport's linear channels.
UPDATE (10:00 GMT): Well, after seeing the winner's interview and Top 3 highlights, I flicked over to the TV, and Eurosport are indeed showing ski jumping, but it is the specialist jumpers that I watched LIVE in Sapporo earlier rather than the Nordies in Trondheim. So, I think they are now just putting short highlights of things on to fill time until there is a decision. For me, it's back to Minsk for the Ladies podium.
UPDATE (10:25 GMT): The weather in Garmisch has improved and the Women's Supe-G is going ahead, starting in 5 minutes from now. Which presents me with a problem, as I will be leaving in the middle of it! But, at least I got the post-competition stuff from the Ladies FS finished.
