Do the scores from this event count towards the Season's Best list - cause nothing has been updated there yet.
for Sean and Karina and Joe.
But why limit it to USA? for another redhead medalist, Nicole Orford (& Asher Hill, even if he's not a redhead)
Congratulations to all the medal winner, but especially to Sean. He has steadily improved and put in a lot of work and I'm so happy for him. I also hope he receives a Challenger series Senior B.
Don't want to raise false hope for Sean ... but USFS is sending two pairs to Volvo Cup.
Last I checked, no other USFS skaters from other disciplines are assigned, but -- grasping at straws -- I wonder whether any additions are possible.
They had roughly the same TES in the LP, the difference being that Patrick got almost 5 points more in PCS for a very flawed skate in which he was behind the music for at least 1/3 of the program. The purpose, however, was not to reiterate that particular discussion, but to make a point about double standards.
In which components would you give Nam higher scores that what he has received?
ETA:
So let me get this straight: Nam should receive roughly the same PC as Yuzuru (since their TES was close) solely on the virtue of being clean even though Yuzuru is the better skater? That is the only scenario in which Nam would be placed ahead, and that is ignoring the ! call that he didn't receive on his Lz.
Just watched D/R FP
pitty about the throws...
BUT
am i right that especially eric is a great artist on ice ... you can see how he feels the music!
maybe the best male pair skater in this olympic period
what do u think???
It looks like the deadline is Oct. 1, though not clear if that's the entries by name deadline.
I pick Estonia and Croatia since they are Challenger events. It would be great for him to get the SB's list for GP consideration next year.
Am I the only one who likes Hanyu's new costume quite a bit better than the one he wore in the summer shows? It looks much more like a Kariginu (I thought the summer one looked like Buzz Lightyear), and the new patters would probably show up much better on white ice (I think that was one complaint with the old version? That it didn't stand out on the ice)
I also love the nod to Brown's hydroblading!
not sure what the Hanyu team is thinking, i don't think he needs the 3rd Quad. As long as he lands all of his jumps content clean he can easily crack the 100 TES and i don't think anyone touch that. His TES has at least 10 points over Chan, Fernandez and Shoma and PCS wise only Chan can match that. I'm just worry he attempting all these so early in the season and getting injure again.

Was there any explanation given for Nam's wobbly skating in the FS? I wondered if he was injured or ill, but certainly it seemed that something was wrong.
Apparently he is recovering from a cold so he wasn't in the best condition, hope he feels better when the GPs come around
Hanyu already said it's not about here and now, but he eyes next olympics and wants to be ready.
Chan too thinked his tech content will be enough for next olympics and he found out it wrong
You are right that here and now Hanyu needs only two quads, but in 3 years who knows what happens ?
