There is a story about Hamada holding her students' hand in the kiss & cry. At the 2013 Junior Worlds, Satoko received 9 UR calls and 3 edge calls. She dealt with it stoically, until she returned home and was so upset, she fainted in school and her parents had to pick her up. Ever since then, Hamada decided to hold her and her other students' hand to let them know that whatever happens, they have her support as a coach and that they can overcome the bad days. :)

Ouch. Seeing Satoko's 2013 Jworlds judges' scores, i still have hope for Moa Iwano. If Satoko can do clean programs and even clean competitions now maybe Moa can too. She has a fabulous artistic potential but have chronic URs. With rotated jumps she can medal next season in JGP. Hope that her new jump coach will really help her.

If anybody is interested, Satoko was on a variety show recently and here's where you can watch it
Part 1 https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6wrfg7
Part 2 https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6wrgkj

Satoko is too cute. If you were wondering what the graphs they were showing was, it's various personality traits and how Satoko rates her self and how others rate her.
Her conversational skills, she herself put at 0, she's very shy. Kanako rated her higher because once you get to know her, she does tease and plays dumb and stuff like that. But to get there is a loooong road.
Her coach says she'd like her to speak louder. If she's going to be pensive and take a long time to answer a question, it had better be interesting!
Satoko says that she thinks about what she should say, and while speaking, it all gets messed up.
They ask her if she thinks about romance and if she wants a boyfriend and she said 'I don't want one at all.' (she was very quick and decided about that!)

She's rated herself low 0.25 for narcissism, which they ask if she doesn't need it for performing, and she said that the 0.25 is for performance.
When she was in middle school, she once wrote a formal text to her mother, informing her that she due to foot pain, she could not compete in a planned competition. -Super formal phrasing. (Satoko says she doesn't remember at all)
She's rated herself slightly higher for humor, and her friends have agreed. Kaori says that Satoko will suddenly and without warning make weird faces when they are taking selfies.

In general, her friends and coach all say she's a super hard worker, very serious.

Well, i hope one month and half will be enough.

omg this seems serious. I am so worried. Please let it not ruin her entire season or career.

An interesting post from a russian website.

They studied the junior ladies jumps (Russian, Japanese and korean) and ranked them in terms of height, distance, pre-rotation. Yuhana, Tomoe & Nana came out on top as having really big, powerful jumps.
When they compared the lutz, jesus christ, Tomoe's lutz is massive and you can see how much the other girls pre-rotate compared to her. She has zero pre-rotation, what a fantastic jumping technique she has. I am mind blown. The author of the post calculates that her 3lz is even higher than the junior quads :agree: I just cannot wait to see how she grows as a skater.

It is worth taking a look at, even if you barely get the point with the help of google translate, they provided images to prove their point.

I really really don’t want to see this happen, but there’s still a possibility that Karen Chen and Nicole Schott may withdraw from rostelecom.☹️☹️☹️ Both had previously withdrawn from their first event.

If they have to withdraw, I’ll cry. Then I’ll hope that someone I like gets the replacement spot.
