Going to bed earlier tonight, because I am totally wrecked after the past few nights. So putting this up as a placeholder, and will add the links tomorrow.

Here is the link for the World Feed coverage on the British Eurosport Player (starts in 4h from now):
https://gb.eurosportplayer.com/event/mens-short-program/741fc9d2-16d6-425b-a867-0167c4ee5506

I haven't seen the Pairs FS yet, so I don't know if the commentators said anything about the plans for the Men's SP. But I assume that Eurosport will work it the same as today:

Show the Alpine Skiing LIVE, and then have recorded coverage of the Men's SP later on in the day. And if the skiing ended up getting cancelled again, then there would be LIVE coverage of the skating (presumably on Eurosport 1, as that is where the Alpine Skiing is being shown).

Since we don't know for sure, here are the links to both British Eurosport channels on the Player:
https://gb.eurosportplayer.com/channel/e1br
https://gb.eurosportplayer.com/channel/e2br

Here is the Time Schedule:
http://www.isuresults.com/results/season1718/owg2018/OWG2018_MenSingleSkating_SP_TimeSchedule.pdf

And here is the Live Scoring:
http://www.isuresults.com/results/season1718/owg2018/SEG001.HTM

Hope this helps.

:cheer: ALL THE BEST EVERYBODY!!! :cheer:

The one skater is missing... You all know him... It's not a real Olympics without him. Royal posture, gorgeous jumps, amazing speed... He's the only one skater who deserves the gold medal. But we can give a chance to this Olympics anyway... But each of you understands who is the real champ.

👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻🥇🏅🏆

Aaaah! I'm so bummed that I won't be able to watch all of this live because I have to go to work (I won't even lie, I'm half-tempted to take the day off, but I caaaan't).

I will however get to see Brendan who I have all my fingers and toes crossed for!

Wishing good skating for all, but I gotta mention a few particular wishes:

For Deniss, his spins are going to make the casual viewer's jaw drop I'm sure!

Misha Ge, who's making this his swan song and I hope it's a worthy one for him. :)

MCM and Julian Yee may you have the skates of your life and continue doing SE Asian skaters proud!

Boyang, Javier, Yuzu, Nathan and Shoma may you land all your quads and kick butt! :agree:

And last, but far from least, go Mikhail! Go the Quad Lutz!

Today (16 Feb) is the First Day of Chinese New Year.

Wishing all the Chinese GS fans of any country a Happy Chinese New Year.

I will be having the traditional (according to each family's clan/dialect) longetivity noodles in rice wine stock, which will supposedly let you live long and healthy.

Happy Chinese New Year to:

This is the only one of the four events I'm nervous for. The outcome of pairs, dance, and ladies were always pretty obvious with the only suspense being who will take bronze. But in the men's we could have top medal contenders of the podium. We could have some long shots medal. I'm sticking with diet soda tonight. But tomorrow? I'm going to need ALL the wine.

I'm so nervous for Nathan and Javi in particular. Gulp!

Good luck to all the men tonight. No SPLATFEST!

And for heaven's sake no missing spin levels. Such a silly way to give away points.

OH..and no missed combos. Death to your score.

Let's be careful out there!

Anyone else watching the practice? Just seeing Yuzu and Javi on the ice is making my palms sweat. I have a feeling that tonight is either gonna be glorious or a splatfest. :drama: Oh, the drama!

PS. I LOVE Nathan's new avant-garde SP costume!

Are you watching the online NBC streams or do you have a different link?

So is the B.Eurosport only going to be broadcasting the two last groups again?

And will NBC wait until the final ice resurfacing to recap Adam & Vincent's skates, then only show the final group live? :sad21:

I was watching the NBC streams but I think the men's practice is over, they're showing ice dancers now.

The early groups will be on NBCSN again. I'm guessing they'll show most of the last two groups, but I'm going to pull up the feed when the coverage switches to NBC so that I won't miss anything when they inevitably switch to an interview or fluff piece during someone's skate. I wouldn't be surprised if they show only half the 4th group (Adam Rippon, Patrick Chan and maybe Dimitri Aliev?) and take us away from the rest.

Why do I feel like back in the day with the Olympic short program you could have the highly ranked skaters skate at any time. I seem to remember that the SP bloodbaths in 1992 and 1994 happened throughout the short. Judges would also save the marks for later on.

Using rankings is a lot more helpful. The judges and the audience can compare more easily between the medal contenders.
