I will just throw this out. My friend Andy knows Kaitlyn and is a big fan, but he told me he is/was kinda of hopin' she didnt make senior nats for this year. I dont know if that remark was because of her age or an injury or what. He told me about some other injuries while we were watching Jr. and Sr. Ladies but I dont feel comfortable about talking about them. He really keeps track of the younger skaters in his records. It does make me sad that there seem to be so many, especially during growth periods in these lady's lives. One thing is for sure. Figure skaters are tough as nails.

Yeah, they're ridiculously tough; I can't imagine being tough enough to compete at that age, but then, I've always hated competition. Hopefully all those girls' injuries heal asap so they can do what they love.

And to clarify the "deserve" comment, since you replied to it earlier, I wasn't making some arbitrary comment about "deserve" in a moral sense or anything. Simply that all of these girls have shown themselves to be capable internationally and have been to nationals multiple times before, so it's a shame there aren't enough spots for all of them.

Yes, I know what you meant. And I know you only have good in your heart. I feel the same as you. I was just making a comment about my frustrations with the sport, the injuries, and the cheating that has gone on for decades that has cost many a deserving athlete a medal.....I am pretty sure the scoring was at least fair, unbiased, and un-bought at the Pacific Coast Sectionals. ;)

:yahoo:congratulations to all who made it to nationals. great job all.

i do feel bad for those who didn't make it. :(

I feel bad too for them, but the truth is that we never know if something is a curse or blessing at the time it happens.
We just need to get up and move forward.
That is about the second biggest lesson I have learned about life.
