Alina will win if she is clean. Mako is my choice for silver  If Gracie goes clean, I will be happy. More importantly, if she doesn't pop (which has been a real struggle for her in recent seasons), I will be happy enough!

if she is clean
:scratch3:

This season all Alina's GP stages are easy-peasy for her :handw:
no matter how clean she will be :noshake:
Do you think that for athlete's progress, obstacles have to exist? :scratch2:
She has them. Somewhere inside :console:

I meant no one is always clean. Look at her Worlds performance last year. While Alina is capable of greatness, she can also implode. It happens. Anyone can have a bad skate.

I will look forward to see Gracie. :)
I think that Alina is more tense when there is less competition. When Zhenia is around she is doing pretty well. :) So I don't think that this GP will be easy, because the home crowd is very demanding, there will be some not friendly spectators as well. Very much Tv attention, so nope Rostelecom is not easy for Alina. Its different when she has to fight for every point and the crowd has also other favorites :) . She has to become level Yuzuru, who is not bothered by the attention and expectations, but instead they are feeding him. :)

To both Gracie and Alina wish to be relaxed and enjoy. Also hope Polina make a very good skate and be happy with what she shows. Excited to see Eunsoo and how Sofia will do in her second GP.

Don't fool me. You wrote "will win IF she is clean". The meanings of these phrases are too different.

Not trying to 'fool' you and I'm not going to argue over the intricacies of the English language. Nobody's got time for that!

As per her deleted IG post, Karen is most likely out. We await the official announcement by USFS or the organizers. This was expected.

Why is Karen out?

She had been injured and in a walking boot until about a month (?) ago. So she may not feel sufficiently recovered from injury.

absent an announcement, that is only a guess.

After NHK Eunso moves up a bit with 196.31.
And that was with several mistakes in the free so there is potential for more.

Of course I expect Alina will win by a margin.
Yuna Shiraiwa was very good in Finland, personally I would put her on third place there. And there are others, namely Mako Yamashita and Sofia Samodurova, who have a chance for medal.
I'm also curious for Gracie Gold, nearly two years no competition, absolutely no idea what can be expected from her.

Is Gracie going to skate? Have there been any reports on how she's skating and if she's ready? I'm so out of the loop!

Radio silence from her camp. She needs to fly out tomorrow to be ready for official practice on Thursday. Be on the lookout for airport Instagram photos or lack thereof.
