The ladies event just lost a bit of its excitement.. :( I guess I‘ll root for Anna to win this now. And Kseniia to medal.

I'm sad ... I want kostornaya
I'm sad for injury of Alena too.

But I may say that I've seen both Kostornaia and Sinitsyna alive.
The only problem of Sinitsyna is lack of stability.
When they both skate clean they both are strong and nice of about the same level.

I haven't seen Sinitsyna skate yet, so I can't comment on whether this will change the likelihood of a Russian sweep, but I wonder if anyone can take advantage of this sudden power vacuum  Sad for Kostornaia too, she is by far the most interesting skater coming out of Russia next season. JW will be... interesting? without her.

You should watch Sinitsyna, she’s lovely when she skates clean. She’s skated 3 clean FS in a row in her past 3 competitions

She had one JGP assignment this fall, in Lithuania (SP, FS). She’s good, as you have to be to get junior ladies’ assugnments from RusFed. She’s obviously not nearly as untouchable as Kostornaia, though, and it’s easy to imagine the podium without her.

She's gotten a lot better now that she's taken the 3Lz-3Lo out of the SP. That really was what set her back usually in the past - she'd fall and get 3Lz+COMBO

Same. I picked her to win. In fact, I think she could have won Senior worlds this year. I Love Trusova, and Shcherbakova and Sinistsyna. And, there is Yuna and You and He. So it will still be a great event.

Really I thought she deserved 3'd over Anna at Jr.Nats. I thought she was grossly lowballed.
