So happy that Mukhortova/Evgeniev have been added to Russian Senior Test Skates! ❤️💙
What do you mean ‘they have been added’? They should be a part of it, they are on the senior reserve team. There is only five pairs on the main senior team, and usually there is more than five teams at the test skates, so it would make sense that pairs on the reserve teams are invited too. Even with the tree pairs that are in reserve, that will make it only eight teams. Juniors had ten pair teams showing their programs at the test skates. What I mean is, it is not as if they accidentally got their spot by a lucky chance because it suddenly became available. They earned it. At this moment, they are in top 8 teams in Russian senior pairs.

I know, lovely, :), not to worry. As my fav Mozer Team they surely belong there. I’m just so happy that they will be performing as they initially weren’t on the list. It’s been announced as news, and so let’s celebrate! Happy days for all!😉

Diana Mukhametzianova's mother has announced that Diana has retired:

Sadly, the main reason for her decision to leave the sport seems to have been repeated emotional abuse during the course of her career, most of which is likely to have been weight-related. 💔

That is sad to hear..lovely skater..hope she will be proud of all she has achieved . Enjoy her future best wishes to her.

Diana has given an interview about her career and retirement:
https://matchtv.ru/figure-skating/m...tzanova_objasnajet_pochemu_zavershila_karjeru

In the end, Diana left the sport because she lost her love for figure skating and didn't find joy in it anymore. She expressed her gratitude to Pavel Sliusarenko's group in particular, for their patience with her and the supportive environment within the group.
However, she also admitted to experiencing weight-related emotional abuse in all other training groups from age six onwards. 💔 It's heartbreaking to think about a literal child, not even old enough for school at the time, already going through such an emotionally scarring situation, created by grown adults. It's a testament to her strength and the strength of her love for figure skating that she even stayed in this sport for as long as she did.

Anna Karenina from B/K! That would be cool.

Also, sad to hear the news about Diana M. It was sort of expected, sadly, and yeah, the phobia of weight gain is obvious across the board in Russian skating. I am surprised that she still wants to try to start as a coach when she I has a different interest she expressed. Maybe she still needs time to wave the sport goodbye. I think her metabolic problems are familiar to plenty of dieters, particularly women. When you do everything ‘right’ but your body still packs on weight. There is nothing for it, but of course various specialists have their panaceas or suspect people of ‘cheating’ from a food allocation that leads to mental disorders of continuing starvation. I am glad she understand now that most people are just not born to be ‘in shape’ as Russian FS community interprets body shape.

omg NOOO! 😭😭😭

Are they both retiring or just splitting up?

She has almost everything to make it to the top but shame about those solo jumps. Lack of triple jump definitely holds her back. Without those she might as well retire or change country.

He is one of the best male partner out there but too bad about his injuries. He is young and maybe a year of two of complete physical rehab then i think he can come back. Triple jump is also a struggle so i dont know how much that will regress.
