Mrazkova/Mrazek sure had awesome twizzles. I wonder if they got extra points for her holding the skirt. They should have, because I bet it’s insanely hard.

Simova/Aksenov had a bracing start, then slipped into besa me mucho, and I am starting to wonder if I love that song any more… happy to see great placement for them. Gosh, hope they keep it in FD.

Poster kids Mrazkova/Mrazek rocking it as expected They were one of the discoveries of last year's JGP for me (4th twice in their international debut season, with silly mistakes, in a full-strength field = massive potential). I'm keeping an eye on Matteo Zanni, he's relatively new on the block but his teams seem to have really good basics and improve rapidly every season, most prominently the Taschlers... His other team here Simova/Aksenov look really promising too. Seems that Zanni used to work with Barbara Fusar-Poli, which makes sense since she is also quite a technician.

Nice to see a good turnout of Asian teams here! Kida/Morita had a really impressive pattern and twizzles, Cathy Reed seems to be a great coach. Interesting to note that for the midline step they had super deep edges but not the highest levels, I wonder if extreme kneebend comes at the cost of precision...

Special mention to Bordet/Gipoulou, a pity about her twizzle but they nailed all their keypoints (at the very end of the programme) and had interesting music (panpipes?)

Also enjoyed Tkachenko/Kiliakov, nice to see she is taking full advantage of the rule change allowing leggings!
