BTW, here are my notes from 2022. I am hoping channel 5 in the first group is still Terrestrial Fuji. Then all you really need is Fuji BS, channel 22. The two weeks on demand are wonderful.
2022 notes
Muji TV

MujiTV Prime, 56 channels, live and on demand, including Fuji TV terrestrial, Channel 5, and BS Fuji, channel 22, but not CS Fuji . You can see everything at Japan nats on Fuji terrestrial and BS except some of the ladies short early groups and the dance and pairs. You will see all of the men, short and free. $3, three day trial required, then $20 for a month.

Start here.

https://streamingtvasia.com/live-streaming-japanese-tv/

Click on the big red icon for the 3 buck premium trial.

You put in a name and a good email. You will pay through pay pal. (also now CC) Once you pay, you will be taken to some obscure cloud register screen. Exit out and go to your email address you gave them. Get your code number. I did this on my desk top. Then, I went to my wife's laptop in front of my big screen TV and put in Mujitv.com and selected "register" . I put in the code sent to my email I gave them and then made up a password and log in name. Voila! You get the main screen. I used Windows 10 to create a shortcut to the desk top screen. Menu>more tools> create short cut.. Mearly click on a GROUP of channels ON THE LEFT and you get everything promised. Go to a channel, go to a day and time, then click the maximize symbol on the preview screen located in the lower right of the preview screen.(pic one) Want to return to the main menu? Use the escape key. Easy. The only bad thing about Muji is that you dont get CS Fuji. Connect your HDMI cable to the computer and then to your telly.

Don’t get frustrated. There is a bit of a learning curve on how to get live and on demand but its not bad. Took me awhile to understand the groups of channels. That is why you do the 3 day trial for $3

Something I want to mention since there are so many notable Women on this list dealing with or returning from injury,
struggling with new technique or just on the verge of breakthrough

Placements at Japan Nationals not only factors into deciding end of year assignments but also heavily determines who the federation funds in the following season
This could change for 2024~25 but typically, Top 8 Singles (from each discipline) at Junior Nationals and Top 12 Singles (from each discipline) at "Senior" Nationals will earn funding for the next season
A Junior(s) placing within Top 12 at "Senior" Nationals does not make 13th eligible for federation support (this only happens if a skater(s) placing within Top 12 retires from competition)
A Senior skater who does not place in Top 12 can still be added for funding if and when they receive a GP assignment
Note: In the past, there have been exemptions made to support select skaters outside of the guidelines

Thought this might be helpful for those doing Skate Picks who aren't familiar with the lesser known Japanese ID teams
I've included links to video for each of the teams' performances at the National Championship Qualifying Competition in October
Video is not high quality (some stuttering) but can be increased up to 720p by clicking on the settings gear
Please excuse the blue toolbar? visible above several of the RD videos

Interesting....its been while but IIRC in the US there was an A team and a B team and the team members received a certain level of funding. Also, if a skater wanted to skate in a paid for event....say at Sun Valley...they could apply to the USFS and if they agreed, the USFS would receive a piece of the pie the skater got. Not sure about who gets what when a corp. sponsors an athlete.

Watch for upcoming small clarifications in Muji TV process.
Here we see a show on 2023 worlds pairs practice which I blundered upon on CS1 TV, Channel 39 J Sports 4, Thursday , the 14th, 12 noon Japan time. Tapping the lower right hand corner of the show makes it go to full screen.

some clarifications to my post #21. Many of you are move savy than I am so I write this stuff up for my own benefit.
Obtaining Muji TV on your laptop so you can plug the laptop HDMI cable into your big screen TV HDMI in which of course has 5 channel surround sound Stereo like mine is a good way to watch nats. It is basically a two step process.
One is you go to the link in #21, and click on the big ref TV that says 56 channels, then click on the 3 day trial for $3. You then put in a name and email and while it looks like the prompts are steering you to use paypal, eventually you see you can enter a credit card number. Indeed, it already knew my number. It even knew my phone number. You click something like "Purchase" and are taken to some sort of a login for iCloud screen. Ignore that and exit out of that. The important thing is that your email will now have two important numbers sent to it. Your account number and most important, your recharge number.
You then go to Mujitv.com and register a name and password. Since I didnt clear my cache (presumably) it would only let me use my old name and old password. Fine. New users will register a name and password and then be prompted to put in the recharge code.
Boom....you are watching Japanese TV. If you go to the first real channel group on the left you will not only see channel 5, Fuji TV, but below it you will now see Fuji TV HD. In the BS group, you will see channel 22, BS Fuji. Over on the right, you pick the day and time, up to two weeks in the past, for the program you want to watch. Then go full screen. For some reason, at 4 in the morning Japanese time, BS Fuji was showing a program about the US and it was broken up. Will check later but shows in the past were fine.

I'm currently gathering info for a "How to watch" post
I'll try to have it ready in a day or two

Hi @CoyoteChris!😃
I'm so happy to see you excited for Japan Nationals
Thanks for keeping this stream bumping
And thanks for the info you've shared so far! :thank:

Konnichiwa tsuyoboogie! Thank you for all your hard work. Not sure why Channel 22, BS Fuji, is pixelating at four in the morning today Japan time on MujiTV but if I go into the past, its clear. Will check latter. I am not opposed to also using another meathod than the one that gives me BS Fuji, channel 22, and what I presume is Terrestrial Fuji, Channel 5, on Muji, so I will look forward to your thread.

BTW, if someone is thrifty and doesnt want to pay the $20 for a month of Muji Japanese TV, I suppose it might be possible to keep purchasing $3 recharge trial codes, but I dont know that for a fact. In my posted pic, I scrolled down to hide my fake name and days hours I have left to watch. After I have had my fill of rewatching nats so I dont mess anything up, I will experiment with changing my password, changing my user name, etc. And try and update my report. Then when I am in the nursing home, I can remember how to watch!.

I will do PBPs for every event except pairs (I love all the teams dearly but I need sleep). As more information is released in the next few days, I will also post some additional resources for where to watch and get information.
Dont forget the new thread on where and how to watch. There are some rather interesting go arounds if one does not wish to pay $3-$6-$20.

Just wanted to check how everyone is doing emotionally ahead of the absolute bloodbath that will be JNats Men and Women... I'm actually really grateful this year JNats is slightly before Christmas, that means we will have at least a little bit of time to process our emotions before sitting down with our loved ones for our Christmas meal 😅

I'm saying this because last year it was quite difficult to sneak out to watch the Men's free skate on Christmas Eve, watch that whole chaotic event unfold, then having to go back to the family and pretend nothing had happened LMAO

Actually JNats is bigger to me than XMAS (not a Christian) and as for not thinking about it, that takes away half the fun! I am so up for this event. Beautiful Japanese skating in Beautiful Japan. Fumie can post as many pics of XMAS trees as she wants....I loved J Jr Nats and I will love this. And with on demand for two weeks, I can watch Kaori's short program 20 times :love2:
The I get to anticipate being on a cruise ship from San Diego to Miami through the Panama Canal...15 days of sun, warmth, food and margarittas. And tons of wonderful Asians to talk with..... Oh gosh, sorry, I will miss out seeing US Nats....y'all watch for me and tell me how it went. I will set the DVR to record the Johnny and Tara show....

Priorities! And in my case, the time shift so I watch on demand.... Not a XMAS fan so I have JNats to look forward to. I watched GPF 2022 last night. Felt bad for Kaori but it was easier knowing she won this year. And Mai was wonderful. I will feel bad about those that make mistakes for sure but not having a ton of real favorites, loving them all, makes the emotions easier....best wishes to everyone out there on the ice and have fun...for all glory is fleeting....and feel the love people have for you.
