Oh no. Just saw on Twitter that there were a bunch of withdrawals. Was there any reason given? Hoping there's not some illness going around!

Well, I would have watched this even without Matteo - for Frangi, Nik, and Corey. But I don't think I'll be able to access the stream with or without vpn. Maybe it's a good time to take a little break from figure skating for me until Europeans come around.

That is what I hate about the TV Guide on the Eurosport website. It always shows the schedules for your own version of Eurosport, not the version for the country whose site you are visiting, even with a VPN.

The problem you may have is that Slovakia still has the Eurosport Player, whereas Italy has Discovery+.

Here is the schedule page on the Italian version of Discovery+ (needs VPN to avoid it re-directing away from Italy):

The coverage is on Eurosport 2 from 15:54 to 19:36 CET

When I tried to sign in, though, I got the following message:

Unfortunately, access to discovery+ is only available in the country where you created your account.​

What's the point in having an international platform if you can't use it internationally?!

So, the upshot is: we can't watch it!

...but we might be able to watch the Junior Dancers. (I haven't checked yet).

The Italian Championships start in the 1980's. It was supposed to be 10 Ice Dance partnerships, arranged into two groups of 5. But partnerships #2 and #3 have withdrawn, so we are down to 3 partnerships in Group 1, and 8 partnerships overall.

From the 1980's, we move to the chaos! And there has been chaos already because the withdrawal of skater #4 means that we are down from it being a group of 5 boys to being a group of 4 boys.

We stay with the Singles skating, but move from the chaos to the girls. It was supposed to be 9 girls, arranged into a group of 4; followed by a group of 5. But the withdrawal of skater #3 means that we are down to 3 in Group 1, and 8 altogether.
