2023 JGP Budapest: General Info

2023 JGP Budapest is the fifth of seven of the 2023-24 Junior Grand Prix series and will take place Sep. 20-23, 2023, in Budapest, Hungary, at the Vasas Jégcentrum main rink. The ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series consists of seven international junior invitational events during the fall culminating with the 2023-24 ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final in December 2023.

This event will feature all four disciplines: Singles (Women and Men), Pairs and Ice Dance, and will be conducted in accordance with the 2022 ISU Constitution and General Regulations, the ISU Special Regulations & Technical Rules for Single & Pair Skating, the Technical Rules for Ice Dance 2023/24 (ISU Communication 2560) and relevant ISU Communications.

Sorry if you've already posted about your plans on your Twitter page. Since Musk's changes a couple of months ago, I haven't been able to view anything on Twitter. Everything just re-directs to a log-in page. So, I'm way out of the loop with what is happening with you, and with all the other people whose pages I visited regularly.

Junior GP became my annual leave from work and sort of safe(r) space when it comes to enjoy skating. Let's hope I can motivate myself to craft crowns for the young skaters to show my appreciation for their hard work.
I actually consider three week on the road with Finlandia Trophy, but I'm not sure if I can manage it.

Awww, I am so happy for you!!!

If you think can manage 3 on the trot, you should. I know how much you love Finland, and I know how much going to these events helps you escape from real life. Better to take the plunge than regret not doing so afterwards. (The voice of experience - over a decade on, and I still regret not going to Euros or the French GP in 2012).

To add context - I'd love to have all flower crowns matching costumes, but it will be rather impossible to guess e.g. who will end at ID podium, so I'll try to do my best (IF I manage to give something at all bc I've asked about gifts and haven't received any response yet...Guess we're entering another season of YOLO when it comes to gifting)
