Does anyone know if it's possible for people without a Japan address/Japanese credit card to buy tickets to this? I noticed that when I started to create an account on the ticketing website (with the help of Google Translate), the form only seems to accept Japanese addresses

Yay!!!!!! Stefania's going to Japan!!! :cheer:   :party2: :points: :hb:

After seeing how excited she was about going to Canada for Junior Worlds last season, I was really hoping Stefania would get the opportunity to go to Japan for one of her Junior GP's. Experience another new country. And now it's happening!!!

And looking at the times, they're actually not bad for us in Europe.

Unfortunately for me, there is both MotoGP and World Superbikes on that weekend, so I know I will not be able to watch the skating LIVE. 😞

:cheer: ALL THE BEST STEFANIA!!! :cheer:

So this will be the best attended JGP this season? A big "in your face" to People going "nah, interest in FS in Japan is declining" ?
Or is it a tiny venue?

I did see some Japanese news about seats being set-up temporarily for the competition, so assuming that the arena doesn't really have viewing area for audience. IIRC, Kanku Ice Arena (near to the Kansai Airport) was built mainly for practice purpose?

Yeah, Kanku Ice Arena is the National Training Center. I think they have some seating but it's not much (think Chukyo Arena seating) and then they added temporary seating near the main rink. So I think it would be something similar like Lombardia Trophy?

I think the best attended JGP was the one in Russia, with Kamila skating. Chelyabinsk? I think? It was an actual venue.

Yes we had 3 events in Bangkok, Linz, Istanbul. After Osaka there are 3 more: Budapest, Gdansk and Yerevan. Making 7 events total before the final in Beijing.

You are probably getting caught out by the fact that each week the sub-forum for the current week's Junior GP gets moved out of the Junior GP Series sub-forum and into the main competition forum. The result is that, on weeks that the Junior GP's are happening, there are only ever 7 events in total listed in the Junior GP Series sub-forum (6 Junior GP's plus the Final).

And then the same thing happens for the Challenger Series. And the Senior GP Series. And the Majors... :drama:

You would not believe the number of times I have got caught out like that over the years, thinking that there are less events than there actually are. And the number of times I have gone to the sub-forum looking for something, and then had to back-track to the main competition forum.

I can understand why it is done - to give more prominence to the event while it is happening. But, it does get confusing when you are used to something being in a particular place and then, at the time when it is most in use, it is somewhere completely different.
