I heard one of them has an arm injury; I think it's the boy.
So unfortunate to have several top contenders out due to injury. It must be even more disappointing for them. But it does make Budapest even more wide open for the podium than it already was. It shall be interesting!

Kaoruko Wada's name has been erased from the entries list.😢 I hope she's not injured.

And it looks like Japan will now only send one Junior Woman? Why???😭 Is jsf that broke?

I'm SAD. I so looked forward to see both Kaoruko and Rena. Plus, if I checked the entries correctly yesterday, there is also only one entry for junior men from Japan and I swear there were two until somewhere last week..? What's happening, JFSF???

POV post-Budapest: when you are getting back and being greeted by the same mess you've just dealt with , stay tuned for the second week of shenanigans!!

@NoNameFace, two weekends in a row of JGP and beautiful crowns?

They should be giving you a VIP seat and you should be interviewed by Ted and Mark:hap10:
I took my annual vacation at work specifically to 'service' two JGP events ;)
I was way too lazy (or just too depressed to care) with preparations, but I've managed to do all prep work as planned. Tomorrow is for cutting stuff to be made on site, Tuesday for weaving chest for crowns to be taken in the suitcase abd on Wednesday I'm off to annual reunion with Polish FS friends.
Ah, I'm no VIP, don't even aspire to be. And please not interviews, especially in front of camera!. If I can make those talented, young people smile more and feel rewarded/appreciated for what they do, I'll do it.

Wait...we have a week off? between splitting wood, murdering trees, and spreading chips, I can actually watch some Ice dance? I wonder which one....?
There isn't a week off! This event starts on 9/27 (Wednesday) and competitions start on Thursday with Women's SP at 4:30 a.m. ET in the U. S. You have several days to murder trees and chip wood before the fun begins!

I will definitely be missing Elizabeth TKACHENKO / Alexei KILIAKOV ISR as they were one of the couples I was looking forward to most.

Am rooting for my two boys - Kenny Eckert and Matthew Sperry. Glad that Matthew and his partner Kristina got to go as the first alternate.

When Helena CARHART / Volodymyr HOROVYI withdrew, USFS already got tickets for Eckert/Cui. They could only give Sperry/Bland airfare that has 5 stops! Family of Sperry/Bland told USFS to just cover a certain amount for airfare, and they'd cover the rest so they can choose a flight that wouldn't have 5 layovers. The Novi teams (Kenny/Cui and Sperry/Bland) left yesterday, but Sperry/Bland will be landing in Warsaw and taking the bus to Gdansk. Kenny/Cui will have a layover in Frankfurt before heading to Gdansk

What does PGE mean?

PGE is the title sponsor of the event. Polska Grupa Energetyczna is a state-owned energy company that has come on board to sponsor the Solidarity Cup this year.

It's like the Mentor Toruń Cup. Mentor is an insurance company based in Toruń that has been sponsoring their town's skating event since 2011 (the first 5 years jointly with the existing sponsor, Swiss food company Nestlé).
