I don't think that program can work with Gleb having the skating skills and being the focal point. I couldn't take my eyes off of him. He's doing too much of the work and I don't think it showcases her strengths.

D/S follows up with a great skate of their own. That was way better than Europeans (the change in costumes helps). I thought the music drowned them in the middle, but the lifts and ending (last minute or so) were great.

Davis/Smolkin had best lifts so far for me and a spectacular slide element too.

Nice job, especially on the technical Part! But for me the program has no real heights.

Like... how to put this neatly, Swan Lake is about, well, the swan, so you know something is off when Sigfried is getting way more attention than Odette/Odille. Look at the final pose he died not her

I prefer the Mrazeks' Swan Lake by far and I don't necessarily love their Swan Lake

The Czech team's Swan Lake is in a different league to this one, IMHO.

The opening moved fast but I did not get a lot of expression until the later part of the program. Like Mark I liked the rocker with the grab of her foot and the cantilever glide. The lift seemed to face away from the judges and seemed kind of oddly placed. I think I was expecting more drama from them that I did not get. Not sure what I think.

I am bothered by the tights over boots on Diana. I don't know that I ever see that in ice dance. Think its to elongate lines?

Diana and Gleb Swan lake really didn't seem like that . Costume isn't the proper.

well, I decided I'd be happier watching Gleb than Diana ...

and I think Gleb has the most gorgeous posture I've ever seen in an ice dance man. It's not overdone or exaggerated ... just a beautiful straight back that's able to be supple when it's called for!
